The problem with Nigerians is we don’t read… common sense should tell you that the constitution does not explicitly refer interpretation to a court. Only parties seeking interpretation approach the court. See excepts of section 68 1(g)
… “The Speaker of the House of Assembly shall give effect to subsection (1) of this section, so however that the Speaker or a member shall first present evidence satisfactory to the House that any of the provisions of that subsection has become applicable in respect of the member.”

I have said over and over again on this matter and I will repeat it again. only Wike and Fubara know what the issue it between the two of them. When a sitting governor pick a predecessor he does so with a lot confident that that person will perform very well. The issues between Governor Fubara and Wike appeared to have occurred too early to conclude that Wike was try to overrun the governor while he was no longer in office. There is that possibility or rather it is normal for for a former governor to still have some influence on the predecessor to ensure that the new governor succeed from the very beginning. Such influence may be misinterpreted as controlling by those not in support of the previous governor. There are the parties are are the cause of this problem in Rivers State, the elders who are injecting tribalism into the crisis and the PDP that was split during the presidential election, one arm was in support of Atiku while the other was in support of Tinubu. It is not the entire PDP in Rivers State that voted for Tinubu, if there was any joint voting it has to be on the governorship[ elections. This problem will remain regardless of what the law says. The two factions of the PDP that now exist in the state must come together on a party level to unite for peace while the elders should settle the crisis between Wike and Fubara as their sons. Anything short of this on their part will lead to a lasting crisis in the state that might lead to undesirable consequences.
