- My new 7 year old mare Gabbana doing some jumping. I have only jumped her a few times so far and this was our second lesson together! We jumped up to about 1.20m/1.25m :]

Your instructor is really good! Picks up on both you and the horse, and is very focused on the task! Love it! Gabbana is brilliant btw! Can’t wait to see where you take her!
Congratulations, Lauren, for such a talented show jumping horse. That Gabbana certainly has so much power to clear really high fences - watching that last jump at 6:38, when she overjumps by at least 10 cm and does so so easily, I foresee, that you might successfully let her clear 1.40 or even 1.50.
And as a second comment: If that was your only second jumping Gabbana, I am surprised how smooth you communication and cooperation with her is. You seem to be the perfect rider for her to motivate her. Let me put ith that way: She might in the end be a challenge for you - but if you challenge her enough, you will be rewarded by many victories, as your riding her is exceptionally good.

It's really fun to hear your instructor, last time I jumped was probably 10 years ago, so all I see is just a cute horse jump some poles. But when I hear your instructor there is sooo much more to it than counting strides and hope you'll stay on.

Am I the only one who saw Urano (sorry if I misspelled) being ridden in this video? Gabbana is an amazing horse. She makes those jumps look easy. You have a herd of amazing horses with Boo, Urano, Gabbana, and River. Good luck.

She is just so lovely, my gawd. You definitely were spot on for choosing Gabbana out of all of those horses. Such a great partnership. The fact that you two have just begun your journey together and yet you already look so compatible, I really just can't wait to see how things unravel for you two. You can really see how much bounces are benefitting her. I think you said when you bought her the previous owners only jumped really traditional fences and never did ground poles or exercises like this and I think it really shows.

First thing I noticed was there was no more blue towel, which is awesome! Gabbana is very neat and tidy which is important for what you are hoping to do with her. She loves to have her knees up nice and tight.

@@elisaklem116 Lauren had it because the saddle didn't quite fit Gabbana properly so she used the towel in the interim. The saddle is now fitted, hence no towel. (Sorry to barge into your mini convo) :)

Wow! That scope though...
I’m always amazed on how confident you are and also make the horse really confident as well in jumping. 🙊 Like, look how smooth she’s jumping and this was just your second time! I wish I had that confidence (and skills😂). I’ll start riding again next week after an accident while jumping, if you have any tips or tricks (apart from a good instructor offc) to build that again, it’s been two months I rode and the last was when I fell off.. 😕
Start small!! Do lots of poles and cavalettis.. gridwork will help you also😁😁 thank you!

Anna Leah she always knew how, but was just excited. Shes in a new place and country after all 😊
