Another great video Robert but I have one complaint about it. I grew up in WV and your video made me home sick for the mountains. I have lived in Florida for the past 30 years. I have taken my wife there several times and she loves the beauty of the state. Almost heaven!!
I visited West Virginia in November of last year. I also visited St. Albans, Charleston, New River Gorge (did a hike to Long Point) and Babcock State Park. I also visited the tiny community where my mother was born!! Another great video, Robert. And yes, I was bummed that the State Capitol was closed and the dome was wrapped up. However, when you have surgery, you are wrapped up at the beginning and the bandages are taken off. Greetings from Washington state!! :)
A beautiful state. Looks like some of those really narrow trails with stone walls on one side and deep drops on the other are better suited for Billy goats than people.
Enjoyed the premiere, Robert. You visited some awesome places. We pass by the Charleston capitol building on our travels up and down I-77 when we go up to Ohio. Know we are getting close when we see the golden dome. The New River Gorge and bridge are so cool to see. The grist mill is so iconic. Thanks for a great video, Robert!
We just returned from a 2 week road trip to TN (GSM), Blue Ridge Parkway to Shenandoah NP, Monticello and Mount Vernon. We went through WV on the way home and traveled along U.S. Route 60, so beautiful!! Thanks for an amazing video as always, stay safe and happy travels!

I’ve done some white water rafting on the New River Gorge. It’s a blast and has some gorgeous scenery along the way!!! The raft goes under the bridge at the end of the rafting trip.

Great adventure, my son and I just visited Hocking Hills and then New River Gorge a couple of weeks ago. We explored the national park mostly, so it was great to see the nearby state parks in your video. We'll definitely return, thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed the video. My family drove up there for day trip not too long ago and it was the last trip my dad drove us on for he since has passed away. I was thinking about that while watching. Sweet memories. Next time have dinner at glen ferris inn. It’s good and folks there are sweet. :)

As you know, the only part of WV I have seen was Harper's Ferry so following you to epic places like the New River Gorge and bridge was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Enjoyed the walk to the rapids for another epic view looking up toward the bridge. I also found out recently that what was the New River Gorge National River is now the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, AWESOME! OUTSTANDING footage of beautiful West Virginia. Looking forward to the next destination. I'm coming to Miami and Key West very soon, possibly June. Can't wait to see the PELICANS!! And, maybe Traveling Robert😊😊👍👍.

Nice video. I'm from WV and have been to the New River Gorge many times. The New River is great for beginner white water rafting. It starts with easy ones and builds up by then end at the bridge. You need to visit during bridge day where they base jump parachute off it! Third Saturday in Oct. I need to visit other locations you show such as Babcock SP.

Fantastic video Robert! Amazing what you can find when you get off the interstate. I logged a lot of miles in West Virginia but all on the turnpike. I don't know about you but West Virginia always felt secluded and hidden away from the rest of the United States. I felt the same way driving through Montana. I had forgotten just how late into the year you were still on the Summer 2020 trip. Thanks for another great installment.
The third Saturday of October they close the bridge for most of the day for Bridge Day. People with a lot of nerve come from all over the world to jump off the bridge with parachutes 🪂 (BASE jumping).
Been a looong time fan of this channel....and I've seen the Charleston (WV) Capitol from passing by so many times, but like Robert, when I was able to stop, they had it covered for renovations lol. Win some, lose some....but I, too, will be back!

New River Gorge is actually Americas newest national park! It was made one after you went, December 2020
