How about 6 of the 9 people on the SCOTUS? And Judge Canon? Merrick Garland should have started the investigations sooner...but it was Judge Canon, the SCOTUS (well 6 of them) and Trump's delaying tactics which held everything up and stalled the investigations. And, don't forget, had people not voted for him to be POTUS, he would be Private Citizen Trump.

Too many different laws, clauses, and rules of law make it easy to outmanouver the system which is exactly what Trump did. It's a shame how the justice/legal system would go after regular people for the simplest of things yet allow people like Trump to spit on the very system.

Trump has been prolonging cases his whole life, causing people without the money to stay the course to simply drop out. He'll be 82 in 4 years, and how much (longer) will he live after that? By the time they start up again, he will delay and appeal and never see a day of jail or consequences. This isn't the sad fact of our justice system or country, but the state of the world we live in. The rich and powerful don't go to jail, and certainly not normal people jail. They get a slap on the wrist, maybe a fine, whatever. They do not care because they know they will most likely never face any real consequences for their actions.
