Simple formula: Replacement Cost Value - Deductible = Maximum Total Insurance Payment.
If the Deductible is greater than the Replacement Cost Value, the Total Insurance Payment is a negative number, meaning there is NO MONEY going towards the homeowner for this claim. If the Insurance Company left something out, you can supplement. Keep in mind, that unless the agreed upon price for the agreed upon scope exceeds the Deductible, the Insurance Company will not pay a dime towards the repair. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Please help!!!!! I just showed an estimator about the personalized price lists and she said that insurance is making us change the price list back to the month and day of loss regardless of when we start work. If there is a way to argue this please let me know!!! Thank you

Absolutely! Let them know that the reason your using Xactimate is so that you will have current labor and material pricing. I like to use the analogy that you can't go back to Oct 2024 to buy gas for your car, why would they want you to go back the date a price that doesn't exist anymore? Just for your knowledge, insurance owes for the cost incurred for WHEN the cost is incurred.
