- This was our first time flying with our dog! We had know idea what to expect, so here are some info that would hopefully help those of you guys who are planning to travel with your furry best friend! I will be honest, it was quite stressful as we were also trying to rush things.. so I strongly suggest you do your research and get the requirements done ahead of time before your flight.
disclaimer: I am by no means a pro at this. What worked for us, may not 100% work for you. This is just to share our experience and give you tips and advice based on our experience as well :)

Hi Milissa. May I ask how much did you have to pay for the Import Permit alone? Also did you pay anything for the pet inspection in Manila Airport (Bureau of Quarantine)? Thank you.
Thank you. Just a question. Have plan to also bring my dogs with me back home. But it would be next year, maybe feb. Should i run the permit now or maybe 2 or 3 months before the flight?
Is the Health Certificate must be in 10days validity? Like we got our health cert July 31 and flight is Aug 12.Do you think its still okay?
Hi, this doesn't make sense, you said the requirement nang airlines to travel with pet is an import permit from, whereas in your case hindi pa na aaprove. How were you able to board your pet without an import permit from BAI?

I'm bringing my dog too from the UK to Philippines for a long holiday and obviously bringing him back with me in the UK. Are you bringing your corgi back in Canada? I've yet to do the BAI because it's only valid for 60 days and I'm flying on the 27th of December, I can't wait! How much did you have to pay for the violation in BAI? Thanks
The BAI should take only 1-3 days to process, so you should be okay! The violation only cost us less than 500 ph pesos🥰 goodluck with your travels!

Hello, are you able to get your CFIA Certificate even though you didn’t have your BAI Certificate? because I am traveling with my dog from Vancouver to Philippines this Friday but unfortunately, CFIA cert is so difficult to get. 😞

Great information, also be aware that some airlines, Delta is one, will allow a dog under 13lbs to travel internationally, in the cabin, to the Philippines, but I don't believe Philippine airlines will allow it in country, unless it's a service animal.

Hi Melissa, I hope you can answer me. I'm traveling with my pet on March 26, 2023. I already applied the import permit and the vet confirmed that her vet certificate will be released on the 17th of March. She also has microchip. After completing all of this, Do i need to send this requirements to Philippine Consulate or I'm good to go? Thanks in advance!

unless it’s permanent relocation pls DO NOT travel internationally with pets, keeping them in the hold is not a happy experience, it is very stressful for them! That is a very selfish and NOT selfless act, us hoomans and pet parents are supposed to look after their welfare. If you love your animals like they are family members, only travel when they can be kept in the cabin with you. Please be responsible.

Since your bai wasnt ready in time how did you get a health certificate? And what did you show them for philippine permit a reference number? Please respond?
