I have always kept my shih tzu with a puppy clip* grooming. She is 9yrs.old; very smart! But MUCH LESS BRUSHING HER HAIR; just her tail once a week. I love this breed; Shih Tzu ! I have a Shih Tzu. His name is Fluffy and he doesn't like to be groomed. He was found when he was 8 months old. Now he is 11 years old and still very active despite having vestibular disease( cause by excess of antibiotics and a lot of ear infections).
Wonder if your family grew like mine after a litter I could not part with? They were her babies so they were my babies too! The work and expense involve to keep these little beauties clean, neat and healthy is a lot but so worth it. +++In loving memory of Little Savannah Petunia - she is dearly missed but never forgotten.+++

Um, like oops?? Looks like I have joined the crowd of brush, brush, brush, trim trim, etc, seeing as how I just GOT ONE on saturday!! Already took the overly furry pooch for a body trim, little hotty now feels MUCH better, no more panting now that its much cooler in his new shortie coat! So cute; gets along with my doberman very well, they eat together, sleep together, go on walks together, no growling or fighting at all, so nice to see.
