i bumped hoj down the list this time around, ever since they changed how batching works you cannot double maul anymore with hoj, if you could i would have gave it a special mention. as of right now i think mark of chosen is superior to hoj. Mark of the chosen gives you a stat line of 50 AP, 1.25 crit. 1.25 dodge and 300 health after bearform stam is applied when it procs. which is often and lasts a full minute so if you're trash pulling quickly it's uptime can be quite impressive.
I had a hell of a time in MC last night. I was off tanking and doin cat things otherwise. It was my first raid ever not healing so I felt very lost in the sauce. I found myself decursing like a madlad and also focusing more on picking up extra adds than damage. We cleared MC and ony and I was analyzing what I did/could have done different when I hopped on YT and this vid dropped. Exactly what I needed to see. From the look of things I was performing correctly, I just need to sharpen it up a bit. Don't stop droppin vids, gamer. This helped immensely.
that makes me so happy man, thats what its all about for me. thanks for telling me i helped you out man, makes my day. you got the right stuff as a druid if you were just doing all of that naturally before my guide haha. you're gonna make it king!
Germanicus, don’t you ever forget: You’re a legend and a great dude. Thanks for the video, even though i am not a druid this time around, i will always be a druid.
My controversial take: Thick hide isn't worth the talent point cost. I prefer to go with 2/2 improved shred and 2/2 blood frenzy and 1/3 master shapeshifter, but I shift to DPS when I don't have an assigned target. I do try not to OOM myself though, just in case I need to quickly swap to bear. My bear gear leans a bit more toward survivability to make up for it though (pads of the dread wolf instead of shadefiend, will of the martyr over mark of fordring, 100 hp leg/helm enchants). Even still, I also went with Blackhand's Breadth. It helps in both bear and cat and lasts SO long. As a sidenote though, if you do want an armor trinket - make Smoking Heart of the Mountain. 150 armor with +7 all resist. It is BoP from enchanting though, so you have to level that to 265 at least. I always level as skinning/leatherworking so that I can use the free leather to level my leatherworking, and then I drop skinning for enchanting to make this trinket. I then drop enchanting to pick up eng or if my guild needs I go back to skinning. Use of the trinket is very situational, but it is nice to have in your toolkit. Was waiting the whole video to hear about MCP. I agree and also don't feel they are necessary as a bear. HOWEVER, I personally think you should still farm them. Every class has to farm consumables one way or another whether it's farming gold or mats. MCP is hands down the biggest increase available, 100% free, and the farm is simple. I assume that anyone who complains about farming MCP either buys gold to spend on their consumables, or just shows up to raid without them like a total scrub.
that all makes complete sense to me. this is a great example of why i said the video was just my ''argument''. theres so many great ways to play feral and your comment is perfect example of that. i used to go all in on smoking heart of the mountain myself but it ended up in a similar spot to mark of tyranny, just rarely used. i pretty much always ran threat trinkets except for like... our FIRST patchwerk kill in 2019. i ran some armor for that and then never again lol. Great points about MCP. deff worth the farm but the hype is overblown... YOU NEED 99 PUMMELERS TO BE A FERAL - average wow guy haha

I’m gonna be no lifing next two weeks, I understand it may be hard to find a raid as a Druid, which spec will be easiest to find a raid with? If it were up to me I would want to tank, if possible.
the easiest way to join a raid will probably be as resto, for the most part anyway. people will always look sideways at feral unless you perform on a high level
pretty solid choice, and the 1% hit is super nice. i just feel really good about threat where im at already, i feel like i can sacrifice just a bit for massive defense increase
Don't forget that you can add iron counterweight to Impervious Giant which you cannot do with Warden Staff. IMO you should have both though so you can swap to warden staff for harder hitting bosses, or just times where you're like off to the side tanking something that no one else is attacking and you don't need to be pumping threat to make your healer's life easier.
@@soup5220 definitely having both is a great option, i just lean so hard on warden staff for defense and almost the entire rest of the set is aggro centric, no reason not to run both as you said though.
As a Druid with 19 years of experience your guide is not quite correct: 1. Druid can MT MC with ease, there are only a few bosses (Garr, Geddon) where a Warr is considerably better. In BWL Tanks outscale Druid significantly, so the optimal role is OT. Bears in pre-BiS are so much beefier, have so much more armour and evasion than a pre-BiS Warr it's not even a competition. Factor in MCP with insane threat generation, and you are the best tank until Warrs get their MC BiS. Basically you build full tank Bear and then compensate the lack of aggro by factoring in MCP. 2. Ferals are not substandard trash unless players position themselves. If the guild treats a player as a garbage only because he doesn't play "meta" -- leave. If the guild refuses a player fair share of the loot -- just leave the guild and search the one you'll be appreciated.
i disagree king i dont think bears should be anywhere near the MT role in any phase. While its true were very strong in the early phase i still think a warrior is default the better tank. while its totally fine and doable as a bear, warrior is less subject to bad RNG. a warrior has more ways to snap threat right off the bat than a druid. even with pummelers ive had openers such as parry parry parry. in that time a dps warrior dies from pulling threat or worse. warriors can experience that too, but they have far more ways of dealing with it than we do. theyre attacking faster while dual wielding, and have bloodthirst. also i think you misunderstood, i didnt call us bear druids trash, i said we are trash men. we are there to clean up the mess others create. and you can feel however you want about druids personally but that doesnt change the way people will treat you in game, and if you're going into this blind its good of me to warn druids what theyre getting into. there were guilds who initially meme'd on me being feral but quickly came to appreciate me after raiding, some people need to be shown. cant take it personally. I appreciate your thoughtful comment friend, keep in mind this whole video was an argument not stated as absolute fact :)
