That is how you do detailing love it and why not after all the time and work you put into the TR6 I really enjoyed the video and level of detail thanks for sharimng. It been a cold May in Iowa 30's at night daily highs of 50s I been having to run the hearter in the garage . It warming soon but all the cotton wood trees are making a mess and a challenge paint on the bus, life always lets you know how is really making up the project Gantt Chart.
Love the new t shirt! Happy Birthday David 🎈 Good to see your getting the TR6 sorted out. I wish the underside of my TR6 was as clean as yours, mine just covered in underseal 😂
I can't imagine cleaning the underside of the car, but then yours looks as nice underneath as it does on top! Good job on fabricating the missing spacer/ washer, took you a long time, but more satisfying than buying a replacement. Happy birthday. 👍
Well a job well done on the fabrication work. And from on Taurus to another HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Glad to see the progress on the "tinkering" on the TR6 for when things open up again!!
Tush are those John brown wheels? If so, How wide are they? Are you happy with them? Thanks', I like the body color under, my got an under coating, with these cars living in garages and not going out on rainy days, like body color route. Do have anything under the body color? Thanks
Hi Robert, no these are not JBW, they are Konig Rewinds. They are 16x7 inch wide. I’m very happy with them. Just as an FYI, I do run 15 inch JBW wheels on my 1960 TR3A. They are also nice. The whole underside of my TR6 has been coated in POR15 paint and then over coated with the body colour.
@@cheftush thanksTush for the information it’s so helpful to pick your brain on these things, will definitely do what you did with the underside once I get to my 1972 tr6.
Chef , I'm like a thousand miles away from u and I had my black and decker workman out in the drive doing the exact thing you were , making better heavy washers for my addco rear bar. Do you find the bar to be to rigid? Couple years ago I spent hours grinding down the center of the bar to 5/8" . Definitely like the feel of it now doesn't tend to lift the inside wheel under hard cornering and took away from understeer feeling.
Like Minds Jimi! With all my other suspension modifications I’m quite happy with how the car feels and the road holding is great. To be honest with you, if I were to try and drive the car any harder, I’d have to have better seats and belts. I’ve autocrossed it a couple of times and it’s a workout!
@@cheftush Yes , tr can get stiff riding with mods. Can't imagine using rubber bushings over poly though because they [rubber] fail so quickly. Hope some of the shows in your area will be back on this year , most by me were canceled.

I have Yokohama summer tires on my Mercedes C300T and am very pleased with them. Good choice. Thanks for the update!
I did the same thing to my rear sway last year except that I painted my bar BRIGHT BLUE! sexy? Yes? 😎👍

I feel so much better now, knowing I'm not the only one who waxes wheel wells.
Thanks Chef ....John from Whitby

Belated Happy Birthday Chef.
Happy birthday David and the car is in great shape. Kind regards, Richard.
Looks like a good fix. Happy Birthday, Tush!
Thanks!
Good fab, well done!
HBD Chef! New tires are always the best driving experience upgrade.
Happy birthday!
oh yes, Happy B Day !
Thanks!
Good choice, Chef. The Yoko's have made my rides happy too. Also good preventive maintenance, your 6 is smiling!
It needed some love for sure…between the TR250 and the TR3’s it hasn’t had much love in the past few years.
Love a white TR6
My brother gave me that same shirt!
Happy Birthday Tush!! Nice birthday gift! Why couldn’t Sis have chipped in for 1 tire? 😝
Agreed! Would have been better than the shirt! I’ll let her know your suggestion 😉
