One activity can have only one arrow ... if two activity are preceded by one activity then there must be a dummy because if you are going to put two arrow that means you are doing same activity two time. Why you will do same activity two time , give it a dummy .
real answer: if you drew arrows C and D to meet at one node (no dummy variable) and then have arrow E coming from that node, you will find that you CANNOT draw arrow F from any node to show that its predecessor is only arrow C and not D. That is why we need a dummy variable. There is no need for a dummy variable from E to the node before G since it is totally fine to have multiple arrows go to the same node as long as the arrows come from different starting nodes.

Thank you soooo much!!! Your tutorial literally saved me from the dummy path!!!
lmao same here
Had already added a lot of clarity
Thank you
Thank you! I had crazy lines all over the place that did not make sense. This totally helped me to clean it up. I am very grateful
Could you please elaborate more on the exercise on why activity E is not a dummy activity towards activity G. By the way, this was an awesome video.
Because E is one of the immediate predecessors of G.

Thank you ! I will now pass my exams !

In the 2nd example why doesn't E start from C? Is there a difference between direct predecessors
that's what the dummy arrow is for.
@@AvocadoTheBugCatwhy dummy arrow is from c to d , and not d to c....please clarify
better than my lecture
Thank you so much
I drew it with 2 dummy variables!?
