- One of England's most exalted addresses and famously the setting for the film, Brideshead Revisited, Castle Howard is instantly recognisable the world over. Built at the turn of the 18th century, the Yorkshire castle was designed by titans of English architecture, John Vanbrugh and Nicholas Hawksmoor, and bears all the hallmarks and secrets of their mastery.
“It's a journey into beauty. Everywhere you go, everywhere you look, there’s beauty," says Nicholas Howard, whose family have lived at Castle Howard for more than 300 years. Join Nick for an intimate tour of this magnificent space, including the castle's rarely seen private quarters, recently redecorated by Anglo-American decorator, Remy Renzullo.

Fabulous! We visited Castle Howard a couple of years ago. When I entered the magnificent hall, I was blown away by its vast cathedral-like presence. The rest of my visit was enchanting, ending with a wonderful wander around the ground. A beautiful place, in obviously competent and loving hands!
I first became familiar with Castle Howard from watching Brideshead Revisited many years ago. 🏰
Absolutely breathtaking! I could watch this over and over, and probably will...
It is so regal and classy. A timeless residence! 💞
Exquisitely beautiful
The quality of this film is breathtaking. You have captured some moments of elegance and beautifully put together rooms and spaces that look comfortable and inviting. The interview was engaging and it was all over too fast. I could listen for hours to this gentleman and spend months looking at each and every object in this beautiful home. Wonderful - I loved this so much - thank you for making and sharing this.
Delighted you enjoyed this so much, and thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback :) Very best, Team Cabana
Perfection. No words.
What wonderful sculptures!
So beautiful….sooo rich in history, architecture, works of art, culture 😲😲👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊 I’m very grateful that Nicholas Howard preserves…and constantly restores this estate…with all the contents in this magnificent castle…he should knighted or be announced as a saint 😊👍👍
Power and beauty indeed 💙🦋💙
Absolutely love castle Howard and this video ❤
Stunning.
In my dreams, I have gothic revival manor house on 4,000 acres in the English countryside. Not *this* big though. 😂
Enchanting and sophisticated ☀
Excellent video - a joy to watch.

Those broken tiles at 5:30 :(
I'm sure a lot of us picked up the sub-text with the comments about Antinous, and he must have been quite beautiful indeed

Not shy to throw people under the bus the old boy. I'd be fascinated to get the brother's side of the story.
It wasn't pretty.
And watching it, you wish that the makers of this video would have put only a tiny fraction of their effort to create those breathtaking images into the music as well. Those ready-made fake sounds are really unworthy.
Agreed. The music competed with the narrative at times. Otherwise, I enjoyed the video very much.
