I’m almost disappointed this series is new bc I can’t binge it ☹️☺️
Pls do this series more tho ❤
I feel you. the anticipation for each episode is killing me 🤣
Legit. Just discovered this channel and loving it
Exactly my feelings bruh
Amen!
So I started the challenge as well and got couple of tips for you..
1. Field flipping - dont know if its against your rules but can be done
2. The collectable items - 50 000 per one!
3. Buying things with discounts as much as you can
4. If you plant wheat - sell straw and give wheat to chicks to get eggs - it should give you roughly 7x as much as just selling the crop directly
5. And this is so good. The CONTRACTS.. good overall but… there is one time of year when you get like 4-5 contracts for fertilizing. And what you do is not borrow the items as it offers you but use your own or borrow directly from shop the first fertilizing tool for 25 grand.. fill it up and do all the contracts and you will get like 30-40k really fast (42 meter range) and have leftover solid fertilizer. Anyways really enjoy the series!
Some great tips!
I try my best to do all the fertilizing contracts, as they don't take much time at all.
Some cultivating contracts can be worth it, but fertilizing is the top one in my opinion!
good tips, but the collectables are only $1,000 each on elmcreek
There are 100 collectable items on this map worth 1K each.
@@lisa1162oh i see.. i play on Haut-beyleron where theres 20 for 50k. Thats weird on one official map 1million usd and on other just 100k?
@@FernyFarmyou are goddamn right. Harvesting is good as well as you can sell the leftovers but ferrilizing overall best
I’ve waited a lifetime for this video, we need more as soon as possible!
Tip:
If you bring your stuff to the shop and sell it there, you get an extra 10% percent more money than selling with the menu.
Ya man
i had no idea thats actually sweet
The way around narrow tires and maximum yield on vanilla FS22 is to harvest,
1. fertilize
2. mulch (you can configure a roller to do this)
3. cultivate/disk/direct drill plant/seeder
4.fertilize
5. Weed with a weeder
6. Roll field.
7. Harvest crop
You’ll get the maximum yield without weeds, no need to go back into the field until harvest.
YEES !! your own equipment, i mean the tractor. I have to say, pretty nice move with swaping your planter, liquidated your piece of equipment and got hard cash, cash is king :D
You got that right!
This is actually the best farming sim 22 series I’ve ever watched!
And we're 0.002% of the way to our goal of £1bn!!! This next year and a half in game is where we see big returns!!
I luv this series jake ❤️ 💓 😍 and the buying every tractor series pls never quit. U r great my man❤
Get the grape orchard mod all it needs is water. Then get the grape processing production and do raisins. It's a money maker...love the series
If we add mods, thank sounds like a solid idea!
Sugarcane is pretty profitable, good for hard difficulty. But u still need better equipment. Also corn sillage is very good.
Love the series mate!! So enjoyable to watch, your narration is spot on and entertaining!! Keep up the great content my guy!!
just a cpl tips, your buying water, you dont need to. Go down by the animal dealer theres a creek you can get into, thats where i get water. iF mods are allowed, get straw mod it pay alot on this map for straw.. I use a large forage wagon instead of a bailer. LAst ive never seen much of a increase when i used a roller so that might save ya a dime or two. Happy farming !
Will love to see farming with only farm animals ❤
@TheFormalPickle can we use bull instead of tractors?
I believe the slower speed of the seeder is because of its repair state. Repair it and it should go back up to 12, but also maybe save the money and sacrifice the speed haha.
Cut the grass all around the fields for silage😊
I've been thinking the same thing. Maybe it's too "cheaty" for this particular challenge? It would be enough to pay for fuel and loan interest at least.
@@sipdachery3 the first episode he said something about cutting the grass around the highway that is a cheat 😂😂😂
I'm still in year one on mine. I got 3 bailing contracts currently waiting for me to get back on and do as of last night and i got 62k i own the tractor, harvester with both headers and about to buy a trailer. My only passive income atm is two medium greenhouses. Great series keep up the awesome job you're doing
honestly id say next year plant grass on the small field behind the greenhouse. preferably expand that before planting and grass the hell out of it ^^ silage bales will give a nice income and you should be able to get a couple of cuts each year + no need to replant :D time to get the baler+wraper to start eatning its cost back ;)
p.s love this series and hope you wont give up on it :)
That's a good idea!
Farm name: Formal Billion Dollar Pickle Farm
Hey pickle! Played a couple of times on your public server. Just a quick question, around what times are people on most days? My guess is during the day.
Loving this series!!! Thank you!
Starting this playthrough today on Xbox but as farm manager and with mods to see how quick I can get there, I'll start with the same land and settings and go from there and keep you posted !!
Personally, I'd sell some grain just to get the equipment needed. It's the price you pay to get ahead. Also, get a mower and sell some bales. That'll help pay fot fuel and other misc things.
Good idea!
That planter is a direct planter and you don't need to cultivate first
An idea of playing some mod map with only livestock would be marvelous!!!
Tip for greenhouse
Turn it to store you will lose a few pallets the first time in the pick up point but if you leave them there they wont put more in there place. Then set to sell in high price month and everything in store will sell at midnight.
Base game 180 horsepower tractor. With Giants mods, you can get away with 80 to 100 horsepower. A farm Jake size, it large enough. If he does a light mod version of this, with Giants approved in game mods, the 4000 JD series pack will be large enough for the starting land area. It could pull any 100 hp plows, 6 meter seeders and planter, and 4 to 5 meter Tillage equipment. Also, it is large enough to round bale, small square bale, mow the hay, and pull 2 starting grain wagons.
Since you're leasing just get a shallow cultivator or a disc harrow they won't dig up stones, also consider it when buying one.
Keep up the good job👌
I really like this series, you are very entertaining!
Episode 12 of requesting the formal pickle to call his fans the formal fans. Please I’m subscribed
I like these videos, enjoying how it’s going to grow
I have to watch the at x1.5 speed to make them sound normal though
Damn now your making me do it as well ....
Im not even into farming or anything, i just love to watch these videos in the evening while eating. Super relaxing and satisfying content
Happy to hear that!
If you plow after every harvest you will never have weeds and no more stone's than the cultivator.
Make it to a multi player and make anontjet farm so your editor can join and Maybe other People
Day one: Buy fields 44, 45, 46, 41 and 42. Sell everything (barns, houses, anything that comes with the fields.) Buy JCB Fastrac 4220 (Medium Tractor) and Lintrac 130 (Small Tractor). Lease your harvester when needed. Build 2 wind generators (the $155,000 ones) and 2 large solar panels. That shoud give you a good start.
I am using only Silage to do this challenge....I struggle now. But soon the Grass Empire will Flourish!!!!!
a good cultivartor that does not dig up rocks is the horsh finer 6 sl its 6m 25k by price and lease price is around like 6k
This is the best fs 22 series I’ve ever seen
When selling tools, sell them at shop you will get a better price and also fixing and repainting it will add some value to it.
For the rocks its better to roll fields after planting then to pick them with rockpicker and also i think you dont need to roll those fields since you did rockpicking already.
You can spray the fields right after planting no need to wait for weeds to germinate.
So you can spray straight after planting??
@@paddingtonbear-uk4wh yes, you will notice the texture changing when you spray it.
It's best to pick rocks, you still benefit from rolling and yes, you can herbicide anytime but it's easiest to do this rotation......
Fertilize, herbicide, plant, fertilize and rake in piles of money 🤣
its been 2 weeks, cmon man I really like this series.
Not in game but a relative owned a farm and were very poor they had to struggled to buy a ham for Christmas. This was 45 years ago They had the land developed and are very well off.
Your doing a wonderful job keep up the great work
I have a tip, when you are selling equipment, sell it at the store where you customize, if you do this you get a couple grand more depending on the price.
When you go to sell pieces of equipment you can actually get more money for them if you take them to the sell point at the shop.
I know, I keep forgetting though lol It is a habit of mine to use the menu page.
I love your videos, Pickle and would love to collab one day 👨🌾
I'm doing grape juice honey and furniture, I get around 200k a year. Really hard to make anything but close enough to one million
we need more 30 mines vids
Saw this ages ago but didn’t start watching it cause it was new so started ur now so I can binge it. Started watching at like 11-1130
I dont think you need fertiliser with soybean as it fixes its own nitrogen. Also grow grass in that little field and get a mower and a wrapper
With Precision Farming I believe you're correct, however we are playing base game. I could be wrong still though.
I checked online but not clarifyied myself. Great videos really enjoy them
What would be cheaper have the 3 point linkage with a front weight or additional weight to the front of the tractor?
I went a different route. I brought a wooded plot, brought a chainsaw, trailer and tractor, and dumped everything else into bees.
Just buy the tractor without the upgrades on the engine and then when you have the money you can upgrade it at the store that way it doesn't disappear in the sale
I hadn't watched the whole video when I said that lol
Anyone else mad about the pile of rocks half on the crop field. 😂
You need to turn on straw swath so you can bale it and make more off each field
You don't get straw on soybeans.
I found a trick to get 100% fertilizer before the crops grow, before you plant fertilize then plant then fertilize right after
I recently found how overpowered wind turbines are, you can make thousands in just a couple of minutes.
took u long enough i need to learn how to play this game hurry it up
@TheFormalPickle Perhaps if you took the income from the solar and greenhouse each month or two months, or whatever covers as much of the loan repayment/s as possible and pay down the loan interest from $666 per month. That would be a better financial move than rental/purchase arguments or crop sell times.
Holding crop waiting for the best price is all well and good when you can afford to hold on to it. While you are starting out, you need to keep money flowing. That means selling it ASAP or at least holding it for no more than a month or two at most.
That crop is costing the farm more money sitting there than you realise. Sell it ASAP to fund growth and investment. I had a tractor and weeder before the end of the first year by selling crop ASAP. I also have five fields, 44-46 & 48-49 the latter two joined into one field.
I have three greenhouses running too on lettuce, tomatoes, and strawberries. That generates $15k a month for $7 costs. That paid down my loan.
It took me 14 months i think to go from $666 loan intrrest to zero by paying $15k each month. I was debt free in side three years.
Your whole approach is wrong, that is why in year 4 you still grabbing about for change to buy a low, entry level tractor. Nearing the end of year 4 at that and still in double digits profit.
You started off wrong and went worse.
Id be surprised if you make 1 million in your RL lifetime in this game, let alone 1 billion.
I see the future of this series ending at 750k and 25 yrs (in-game) passed. This i feel will be a failure because your strategy is you dont have one.
That is why in RL banks etc want to see a business plan and fiscal forecasting to see that you are thinking about the risks and pitfalls and planning around those to ensure productivity, profit or carry-over etc. to ensure you dont sink and flop (go bust).
I plan in advance, i pause the game and look at the prices of crops, what equipment costs will be be and write this down I then do a quick calculation on overheads and set an idea up, a plan. And work that plan!
It never fails.
PLAN, PLAN, PLAN & PLAN AGAIN. Boring but essential. If this game can teach anything, it is that proper fiscal appraisal is essential to succeeding in anything, be it farming of drain cleaning, carpenter or child minder. You can not swing it by going ad-hoc and hoping for the best it never works without 'cheats' or in RL benefactors willing to bail you out.
Maybe more bees or a greenhouse i gues
I might play unrealistic. I love the government subsidy signs. I place 10 to 50 signs on every map and have constant of millions of dollars coming in
you get more for the equipment if you sell it at the store vs selling it from the menu
I was waiting for this episode
when you look at the big picture ... buying the tractor after selling at slightly lower profit ... you actually make more money ... since you plant roll weed and fertilize the fields .... thats bout 20k lease for a tractor ... buying the engine upgraded sale tractor now saves you 20k next year ... but costs you the lease amount for the upgrade ...
I do think buying the tractor in year 1 would have saved you 60 to 80k from the start ... dont forget you had 2 tractors on lease for a while
probably should have bought a tractor before 2nd solar panel instead of leasing it for 4 in game years
I think you should use a stone crusher mod so you can buy that and turn your stones into lime and eventually you will get free lime for your fields
I thought about that, it very well could be worth it!
Hi I just start your challenge on my channel with all your guidelines minus I used one truck mod do to base vehicles not being any good. Love all the videos
Tip:Sell your harvest in grain mill and then u buy the grain mill so u also get the your harvest in the mill and the money for it
Enjoying this series
I’ve watched all this series back to back, when are you bringing out another episode
"It's gonna take us 6 years to make 1 billion dollars."
*5 years later*
"I finally bought a tractor... It was used...it didn't have the required horse power at first. "
Legit! I like the thumbnail! What program are you using?
Name should be The Rock Pile
Clear the loan using F11/F12 mod
You could also try using the production facilities to make some more money, that would definitely work
My strategy is, personnaly i put greenhouses (the biggest), that dont cost too much (if im not wrong around 10k$), and i grow lettuce, wich is sold for more then tomatoes and strawberries. Also contracts.

PICKEL 🥒 I LOVE THE VIDEO AND ALSO I'M DOING PRETTY GOOD ON TRYING TO MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS AND FARMING SIMULATOR I GOT A 111,000 RIGHT NOW BUT WALMART STRATEGY IS IS THAT I GOT A BUNCH OF SOLAR PANELS YOU KNOW AND I GOT THREE FIELDS AND I SEED THEM ALL AT THE SAME TIME AND THEN I SELL THEM JUST RIGHT AFTER YOU KNOW HARVESTED BUT THAT'S HOW I'M DOING I MEAN IT'S GOOD IT'S JUST HARD ON THE GAS AND DIESEL PRICES BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT'S AS HIGH AS A CATS BACK ALSO JAKE WHAT I DO IS WHITE AFTER I SAID LIKE WHY WHEN I SEE THE FIRST SIGN OF GROWTH IN THE FIELD I TAKE MY SPRAYER AND MY TRACTOR AND I JUST SPRAY BEFORE LIKE IT GETS ON THE GROWN AND IT GETS TALL SO I DON'T DAMAGE IT
You actually bought the tractor 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 it’s a miracle
It really is lol
Even though I don't have fs 22 but I have fs 19 and on my game I used cotton on no man's land and I have definitely well progressed and on my last harvest I was able to get 3 to 4 million dollars on a single harvest with 5 case cotton harvesters now depending on the price but it's on easy though so that makes a difference
That is good money!
@@TheFormalPickle last harvest was 47 20,000l cotton bales with the price was over 4,000$/1,000l
Not at a billion lol but what I did was buy a tractor seeder bailer and disk at the start leased the combine and anything else I needed work the field
I for got to say all we’re used tractor I got in the used on month 3 so more luck than anything
LOL Cultivating and planting does NOT get rid of weeds, you just keep spreading them more and more on the field. You need either herbicide or a weeder that pulls all the small, medium, large weeds. Best to do either after the first growth stage, that way you don't need narrow tires which will effect your tractor's traction and stability. Good job on the video tho.hope you're not relying on solar panels and other passive income to achieve your goals as a farmer >:)
Hey, maybe try growing horses because if you train them well, feed them well 1 horse can sell up to 50k but maybe growing horses kinda cost like 100k or less but try saving up that money for horses. Maybe we will see how well it will make
I like doing contracts to get the equipment i need
Release day 7 already!!! 😬😬😬. Screw the other series 😂
It’s coming! We had some stuff come up but I promise it will be edited and on the way as soon as possible.
I have been dying for another video
you should try getting sheep and making clothes which can sell for over 10 grand on hard mode.
The pickle patch that should be the name
I love this series. Think you have convinced me to get farming simulator
Ideally you want to be making complex goods, i.e Cereal, Bread, Cake etc.
I've yet to figure out what to do with that big red barn. It's just not big enough to do anything with...
I wonder if just building as many solar panels as possible and then skipping time and gradually adding more solar panels is faster than actually farming, because this has not been going as fast as you calculated. Could you show us your math and how you got the 6 years number? Still enjoy the content btw, you are doing great.
It will be probably faster, but not that entertaining to watch :)
Even if you do fail the challenge you should see how long it takes to earn a billion dollars in farming simulator 22
Solar panels work better by the street where there is a lot of sunlight
You might need a mod but I think you can make soybean straw.
You need to disc the field
i never liked farming sim but this vids make me wanna buy the game so bad
Just buy fields that are ready to harvest then after you harvest you can sell the field for the same price.
A common method called "Field Flipping" which is a valid way to go about it but I wanted to avoid for this series. We did that in my Pro vs Noob series though!
I'm doing only contracts to start and buying used equipment.
Very smart! I like that approach, might have to try it some time.
Pickle fyi if you take your equipment to the store and sell it through the repair window you get more money.
i need more videos like this
Is anyone going to tell him you can use the train silos for free storage?
