Andreja!!!! I FOUND IT!!! This was THE VIDEO I watched all those years ago, and it TRIGGERED me to begin my art journey! THANK-YOU so much, and you will never know just how IMPACTFUL your work has been, to my art journey ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Even though my art does not involve doll faceups, seeing you create this (and many others), inspired me to try art as well!! And now, I cannot imagine going through life without making art! So THANK-YOU for all of your videos, and for showing us all how JOYFUL it can be to CREATE something!! Just MAGICAL! I subscribed then, and I will always be a loyal subscriber 🤗🤗🤗 Thank-you for your dedication to art, and for putting in all of the hard work that it took for you to bring that to all of us ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏
I recently found your videos and I have to say that they are really relaxing. Especially with the soundtrack you used in this video. I'm going to favorite this one.
I just started watching videos like this and it really makes me want to start repainting dolls too because your repaints look so amazing, what would you suggest as a tip to someone who isn't SUPER talented artwise? As far as practice I mean.
+Emily Blackheart well first of all it is good to note that no one ever called me "talented" when i was a beginner ;) people only started calling me that after years of practice, sweat and tears. So my biggest tip is keep practicing and enjoy doing it, eventually you will push through mistakes which will improve your skills.
You can get the face up done by most companies- I think they do a great job, especially the big ones. I even got a knock off from Korea that had one of my fav face ups ever....and she was $80
I've only seen a few of your videos, but they are amazing! I hope that you can continue doing this, because one day I want to support you, because your talent should not be wasted. (Sorry if that seems too cocky, or overzealous. I just really like your art.)
Not even sure why I clicked on this video, but I can't say it wasn't a good choice. The combination of the smartly selected music and art taking place is very relaxing.
Hi Nicolle's Dreams: I hope you are doing well? I found your channel but this video is over 3 years old. No biggie, just saying It was a pleasure watching you do the Doll head Faceup Stories: 23. You are awesome, super talented, and love the video. Thank you for sharing. I liked and subscribed, Excellent Job! She turned out Beautiful and sweet. Wishing you the very best. Take care, Keep on Dreaming, and Crafting your passions.
I want to start out customising dolls, but I'm not sure exactly how to get good at it. Is it just trial and error like everything else, or is there something different to it? Any tips? Could I just practise on one doll head and keep removing it until I get it right? I don't want to waste money on loads of doll heads to just then mess up and have to throw it out.
+Кσυյαкυ • 紅雀 Yes, that is correct. Like any new skill that you decide to learn, it is all about the time you are willing to invest in mastering it. I’d say 20% is research and 80% is practice. None of my repaints are permanent, so as long as you paint them using the correct materials and doing it the usual way, you can certainly remove them and repaint the same doll 100+ times.
I have a question.. will washing the dolls head with warm water remove or damage the face up? Im asking because I'd like to edit just a bit of the face up and would need to wash it afterwards to remove the nail polish remover/alcohol and I don't want to ruin the whole face >< Btw awesome vid as always ^^
PaperBuddy Yes it most likely will, this is why it is important to keep your doll in a dry environment so that the sealant doesnt start flaking or get affected in some other way over time. Also removing only part of the faceup might not work for you (depending on the faceup and resin colour of the doll) because when you are using the necessary liquid be it nail polish remover or something else, it will break down the sealant and change it's colour to white when dry. This is why when people remove faceups so many times there are these white marks around the creases of the eyes, nose and ears where the person hasn't scrubbed the sealant all the way through.
Emma ball well you can do it step by step it's okay when you follow her materials and does mistakes because their faceup can be removed, it's not permanent.
Omg could you pleasee make another and sell it! This is so beautiful!!😍😍 I wouldn't even mind if it were too expensive I really want one! I respect that you may not want to sell these though 😄
+Nicolle's Dreams I know you stopped to sell these I just want to know how much is one of your dolls and if you were to sell them again where could I find them
There are two possible reasons why your pencil is not working. a) you got a bad batch and the core is very crumbly and too soft or b) you are not sealing the head properly before using the pencil.
Andreja You could use red blue tack or another red sticky material for sticking the eyes in because if there are any crevasses then it looks like the corner of an eye😊
Can I ask something? Okay, I wanted to try out my new derwents on some rubber so I got an old barbie and tested it's face a little. But every time I got that perfect point for my pencil, I would gently put it on the face, and the point would chip off! I ended wasting a centimeter trying and trying to sharpen it up again. How do i keep the perfect point? How can I prevent chipping?
Your customs are just nothing but gorgeous!!! *O* Everything you do is just purely flawless! It is easy to fall in love with your work. I have been admiring your work for a long time and I wanted to start doll customizing I thought you would be one of first to ask! :3 I was thinking of starting with Pullip dolls, but i am not sure what would be the best brand of pencils or the right kind of airbrush? I look forwards to see more of your beautiful works! :D
Wow, just wow! That's incredible! I love BJD'S and thinking about saving up for one.. but I know i would not be able to do the face up and idont think I know anybody either. I know you can buy one with makeup but I am worried I would save up for one get a doll where you choose the body, head, skin.. etc. I won't like the makeup. What should I do? And one more thing what is the name of the head in this video?
She is a customize. Meaning she get's commissioned to paint the faces on for people who have ALREADY purchased the dolls. She does not in fact sell the dolls. She merely paints on the faces.

I own her :) Never knew about this video till now. So cool to see her process being done. I think I'm her third owner, but she's never leaving me. Wish I could get her touched up though. By the time I got her, she's got some dings and flaking, but still looks good.

I don't really know much about it but I'm hoping to get a custom one. I was looking at your videos and I'm astonished on how beautiful these face ups are.
TheDorkina is right. Sometimes you'll see ball-jointed doll abbreviated to just BJD. Just thought I'd throw that out there since I'm kind of dense and it took me several minutes to figure that out for myself when I was first interested in them. Haha!
The level of detail is amazing.

I love how the makeup turned out, it has some drama but still gives the doll a natural look. I love it its great!
If companies actually spent time and made quality dolls like this, I'd be poor by now I swear to God.👌😂

+Mono nokey lol i know i was joking
+Irene Solana González haha xD my bad

That is the most gorgeous doll I have ever seen! You truly are gifted.

I was just about to ask this question. I'm not a doll person, but I'm pretty crafty, and love art.. I think I may take this up as a hobby.
you put so much detail into your work. You are an extraordinary artist, i honestly admire your brilliant work.
please do my face ;_;
don't know much about BJDs but they are very pretty. the amount of skill that goes into making these dolls is incredible.
I have a question.. will washing the dolls head with warm water remove or damage the face up?

+KittyQueen you can bye it online or from a store
There are two possible reasons why your pencil is not working. a) you got a bad batch and the core is very crumbly and too soft or b) you are not sealing the head properly before using the pencil.
Dang it, I forwarded through the entire video to see how you inserted the eyes, and you didn't show it! :c Whyyyy
Because this is a faceup process, and inserting eyes is not part of it. Check my Back to Basics if you want to see how to add eyes to a BJD.
Aaaah, okay! That makes perfect sense. Thanks! ^_^
+Nicolle's Dreams shfo dlfmadl anjdpdy?
