- Incineration is a way to treat waste through controlled burning. Waste is shredded and heated to over 1025 degree Celsius in a furnace Incineration has several benefits.
The process has mainly three by-products:
1) Pavers bricks
One tonne of incinerated waste will yield 20-30 kg of ash which can be converted into paved bricks. One tonne of waste will yield 60 kg of bricks
2) Fly ash with carbon
Fly ash with O.1% to 0.2% carbon content and weighing 2 kg will be produced by a tonne of waste. The fly ash can be used in agriculture.
3) Activated carbon
Approximately one kg of activated carbon will be produced in the plant. This can be used in sewage treatment, metal extraction, gold purification and medicine.
The incineration process doesn't use external fuel. The passage of exhaust is through a pollution control unit which releases only water vapour into the atmosphere. It reduces level of groundwater pollution in residential areas near dump yards.
But the process has its negatives too. Many of the waste items incinerated, especially plastic, contain toxins which produce carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide when burned. Such pollutants can contribute to the development of asthma, cancer and endocrine disruption.
The workers in the plant also must be provided with safety suits and gears...

I read about incineration in class 7 in a book called 'Environmental Science', but I didn't understand what that was about until I saw this video today.
A bit of research remains undone, though.
@pranjal kumar yeah and it's true bro.. Hamari kitabe ek binary perspective par emphasize karti he..
@pranjal kumar
Actually kitaab mein aisa bohot cheez tha aur hain jo hamesha yaad nahi rehta hain.
In order to store get that restored, we've to revise it again.
We need teachers like you.
What an insightful piece of information within a minute.. Thank you to the enite team.
Waste heat generated by incineration can be tapped to run a steam powered generator. Many countries in Europe have these plants

Nitrous oxide is actually a very useful byproduct, if we’re able to capture it
This isn't an efficient and smart way to treat the waste but yet considering the huge heaps of waste,we may have to opt for this one.
Why is it not efficient
@@ritikatripathi7095 Due to hazardous emissions.

Why don't we have these plants in every mandal ?.....
Apparently it can also be used to create electricity and warm swimming pool water or what not. They do it in japan in the Middle class of the super dense city with cool looking chimney and public park or fitness open gym park arounf the area.

Thanks 😊 😊🇮🇳
Very good.
Good job team Hindu !!
thanks
Plz use voice in video. So that we can listen and understand easily .
Music is superb...

But they use percipitators to control the gases.
UPSC useful 🤞🏼🥰🇮🇳

The man falling down the garbage disposal internet news New York bought me here 😳
Plastics must be banned all over the world
Incineration is the only way. While our energy sources need to be completely switched to nuclear.
So you're building your houses with highly toxic ashes? Wich you handle without protective gear? And then you put the ashes wich are highly polluted with toxic metals etc on your farmgrounds?.. What could go wrong?
Thankyou
Very useful
❤thanks
I'm pretty sure carbon scrubbing

We hear you! :) Perhaps TheAmiaProject.org might give you more ideas on repurposing and get the concept of recycling out of your dialogue and instead "repurpose". Keep up the enthusiastic videos.
