❤❤❤ Hi Lesaaa.... ! I'm back again to support your channel... HAPPY BLESSING Holiday with the entire family in USA. I send warmest greeting from Indonesia. Nice & lovely information you share... Have a nice long holiday...
The crystal decanter for $2.99 was a total score!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its gorgeous! With your little scoop, ribbons and eucalyptus ... who wouldn't love receiving this as a gift! I don't think anything would look more perfect in the red ribbon box than the peppermint bark! I am also a huge fan of cellophane for wrapping gifts. It just elevates anything to the next level. I want to be your neighbor, so I can receive that lovely loaf of bread in the pinecone baker . Your little ribbons and embellishments make it all extra special. I will definitely try making those poured candles!!! I think this is the best thrifting for gifts video I have ever seen. You have a great eye and your attention to the smallest detail is amazing!
Hi there! I couldn't believe my luck when I found that decanter along with so many other great thrifted items! Your comment is very sweet. Thank you! I am humbled that so many people like you have enjoyed this video. I hope to keep bringing you fun and unique content this year! Have a wonderful start to this new year and see you again soon. XO
HI there and thank you so much for that tip to spray the plastic wrap! I never expected to get that beautiful rise on my bread. 😅 The nice surprise of baking in a new to me dish! Have a good night and hope to see you again soon. XO
One of the nicest homemade gifts I received was a loaf of sourdough bread and a kilner jar with sourdough starter and a wooden spoon for mixing and instructions for baking your own bread ❤
Hello there and thank you for sharing that! I love homemade gifts and the sourdough bread and starter sound like perfection. Hope to see you again and have a wonderful evening. 😊
The Goodwill stores in my area have become ridiculously expensive for used items… particularly the houseware department. I have heard multiple people say this as well. Also, I learned that Goodwill is NOT a charitable organization so their representation is false. I have started to go to 100% non profit thrift stores so that I know that the items I donate and buy are truly helping people.
I will not shop there anymore unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. I go for locally owned or Salvation Army Stores… the CEO of a charitable organization should NEVER make 6 figures. The CEOs at Salvation Army make 1/4 of what Goodwill’s CEOs. Shame.
Goodwill is insane today in NJ Sunday was 2 and 3 dollar day .there were 35 people online and for what? For example 6 ornaments 4.99 and up .I stopped shopping there you can find better deals hobby lobby, marshalls and homegoods
I’m in Brownsville, Texas, and glassware everywhere is very expensive, I have discovered. But if I ever find something reasonable, I have some great ideas on how to use it. Thanks!
Love that bread pan! And it's even nicer when received with fresh bread! I make candles and use molds for wax warmers. I buy used scented candles at thrift stores or tag sales. Pay $1 for a half burned Yankee jar candle and get 100 wax tarts!
Thank you for going to Goodwill and showing that you can buy good items to give to others. Besides, by buying there, you are helping to employ others. It also shows that you don’t have to go to expensive stores to get that perfect gift fir someone.
Hi there! Thank you for this wonder comment. Just to know that someone cared enough to think of me on their gift giving list is enough. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. 2024 started out with my son getting married so I've been a bit overwhelmed. 😅 But, I love reading and answering as many comments as possible. Have a great weekend and hope to see you again soon. XO
It’s not about how much items are,it’s the thought that counts and your video has shown excellent ideas 💡 l am a crafter and I love making my own style of crafting that I can make for families and friends. ❤
Hi there! Yes! Exactly what you said. It is the thought behind the gifts for me as well. To know someone cared enough just to think of me. I hope 2024 has been treating you kind! Mine has been crazy busy so I am just now trying to get caught up. But I love reading and answering as many comments as I am able. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful weekend. XO
I really liked all the vessels you chose at the thrift store especially the crystal gift box with the peppermint bark! I love your motto of keeping it simple! Christmas can tend to be hectic when one tries to do too much. Using the pre-made peppermint bark, bread dough, and scented epsom salt in these beautiful containers is the perfect way to keep it simple yet mindful. ❤️🎄
Isn't it so pretty! And it was in perfect condition with no scratches or damage. Now you have something to be on the lookout for when thrifting! 😊Thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day. XO
Hi Lesa! These were all great diy gift ideas! I love the decanter with bath salts, and that particular Dr.Teals scent is my favorite right now. The bread loaf pan is a perfect gift especially with homemade bread and you can never go wrong with homemade candles. Thanks for the inspiration! 🩷🩷
I just found you Dear, I have been shopping @Goodwill for a million years! I love to upcycle, been doing so my entire adult life, I'm 69 🎉 I wouldn't been able to afford all the blessings if it weren't for resale stores. I'm addicted too! Excellent taste,so glad to have found you❤
Hello and welcome! Sorry for my delayed response. On the heels of the holidays, 2024 started out with my son getting married so I have been extra busy. I am just now able to get caught up on some messages. But I love reading and answering as many comments as I can. I am so happy to hear your story of thrifting and upcycling. It is really a wonderful way to add unique and affordable character to your home. 😍 Thanks so much for being here. I hope you have a blessed weekend. XO
I loved your ideas. I make that bread all the time and use it to make my pepperoni bread as well. A hint when rising the dough, instead of the plastic wrap which could stick and deflate that beautiful rise, I just cover it with a clean cotton towel. Looking forward to learning more of your ideas. 😊
I really love this video Lisa.... Love these gifts that you made out of the thrift store finds... These are wonderful gifts and I surely would be glad to get them.... God bless you girlfriend...
Hi Melissa! My pleasure sharing it all with you. The thrifting fairies were very generous on that shopping trip. You just neve know. 😊 Thanks for watching. I hope you are ready for a very Merry Christmas! XO

Same here, even though I do agree the prices thrifted items has gone up , I am careful to shop discount days and carefully pick my items. Store prices have gone up too.
@janeleslie4192 you are so right! Prices everywhere have gone up, and thrift stores are no exception, unfortunately. I love discount days as well. I hope you have a great day and happy thrifting. XO ❤️
I got lots of ideas as I watched your video. Many Goodwill stores are getting very expensive. I love glass so I rarely use my covered dishes for candles. I just buy the candle.
I am so happy that you got some new ideas and inspiration for the upcoming holiday season. Sadly, prices are going up everywhere and the thrift store hasn't been immune to it. Something has to give doesn't it!? If you love and collect glass than I don't blame you for not using them for candles. 😍 I'm so glad you stopped by to watch. Have a wonderful afternoon and I hope to see you again soon. XO
Hi there and thank you for stopping by and leaving your sweet comment. I love just about anything homemade. That is how you know someone truly loves you right!? 😊 Have a great afternoon and I hope to see you again soon. XO
Hi there! Yes! These would be great birthday gifts. I'm thinking Mother's Day, get well and just because gifts too. So many options to let our loved ones know we care. Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great night and hope to see you again soon. XO
Hello and welcome! I hope you are able to use these ideas for birthdays, Mother's Day, and just because gifts throughout the upcoming year. Or, start thrifting now for the items you know you can use next Christmas. 😊Thanks so much for watching and have a good evening. XO ❤️
GM, So blessed to have found your channel. You have some wonderful ideas for gift giving! Rather though then using them for Christmas I plan to make use of them thru out the year. I myself would rather get a gift made with love and thought then a purchased gift. Thank you again so very much.❤
Hi there and welcome! I'm happy to have you here and am glad you enjoyed the video. I love that you want to use these ideas throughout the year! So many opportunities to give gifts all year long. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. See you again soon. XO
Hi there and thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and gifting ideas. Thanks so much for stopping by to watch. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. XO
Hi there and good morning! So glad you loved the bread pan and candles. If I was a reseller that bread pan could've made me a nice little profit! I was surprised when I looked it up and saw it selling for $20+. That just shows the treasures that are out there. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day! XO
These were GREAT ideas! I love that you thrifted and regifted in such beautiful and unique ways! I'm definitely making candles in thrifted containers and will also make Peppermint Bark from scratch and find a great container for that! Merry Christmas to you! :)
Hi there! I'm glad you stopped by to watch and that you enjoyed the video. My mind is already working overtime on other thrifted gifts I can share! Have a wonderful evening and hope to see you again soon. XO
Not sure if another viewer made this comment but to help you remove the plastic wrap from your bread after it rises is to put a bit of oil on the plastic wrap (either spray or oil). You don't need a lot of the oil and it does not interfere with the taste.
These ideas are fantastic thank you so much for taking all the time to thoroughly show each project 🥰 definitely gonna use these ideas for ladies night crafts as well
Lesa!!! You are brilliant!❤ I love all your ideas! Love the cocoa bar ideas especially! Everyone loves a hot cocoa bar. So true that I often find new things with tags on still even at thrift stores. Really it's best to have this mindset all year! Great video sweet friend ❤🎁👍🎄😊
Hi there and welcome! It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for watching and for your kind comment. Have a wonderful evening and hope to see you again soon. XO
Wow🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Lisa your soo intelligent never in my life would I think of going to the thrift stores to buy and transform them into beautiful gifts, yes the thrift stores are getting expensive.
I agree! Those are two of my favorite places to shop. My Joann store has been looking tragic lately though. Dirty, empty shelves, and general disarray. How about your location? I'm afraid that it may shut down soon and that will make me cry. If not that than maybe management changed and not for the better. I'm so glad you stopped by to watch. Thank you! XO
Homemade gifts, especially food items, are my favorite gifts to receive. I make quick sweet breads as gifts each Christmas, and use thrifted containers, too. ❤
Hi there! I love that you make sweet breads for gifts each year. I think that is the most thoughtful gift of all. ❤️ Like you, I love homemade gifts. I'm so glad you stopped by. Have a wonderful weekend. XO
Could you spray the bread with a olive oil while it is rising, You have to give the bread immediately. Possibly give it to a n set neighbor in the baking dish and have her bake it in the morning. She would have to agree to bake it.
Hi there! Yes, I should've sprayed the plastic wrap or even used a flour sack dish towel to cover it. One definitely has to give homemade goodies right away. I think that is what makes them extra special. All the love, care, and attention that goes into them. Thanks so much for watching. I hope you got a lot of holiday gift giving inspiration! XO
These are fabulous ideas! Very creative and resourceful. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Especially love the candle making instructions. I will be heading to the local thrift store soon!
Hello there! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and got some inspiration for your Christmas gifting. Happy thrifting and good luck finding the best treasures. XO
Hello and welcome! I'm happy to have you here. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and start to 2024. Mine started out with my oldest son getting married and moving so it has been extra busy. Thus my delayed reply. 😉But I love talking to everyone so I try to answer as many comments as possible! Thanks for watching, have a great weekend and hope to see you again soon. XO
Hi there! Thank you for allowing me to keep you company while you make your preparations for Thanksgiving dinner. My favorite meal of the year! I hope you have a great week and thank you for watching. XO
Hi there and thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the gift ideas. I will definitely keep my eye out for men's gift ideas. They are so hard to buy for. At least in my household where I am outnumbered three to one. 😅 I hope you have a great afternoon. XO
This was AWESOME, Lesa! So creative and fun. The bath salts and bread loaf were my favorites, but all were fantastic. Your Goodwill has much better prices than mine. You did a great job! - xx, Carla
Hi Carla! You picked my top favorites as well. With two boys home from college the fresh bread didn't make it to being gifted so I'll be making another loaf. 😅 I can't even be sad because it is so easy to do. Some items are priced too high where I am as well. I literally saw an empty Vlasic pickle jar priced at $2! 🤔 Thanks for watching. I always appreciate you, your support and friendship! Have a good night! XO
Hi there! You are so lucky to have a friend to spend time with making gifts. I am very interested in what cowboy candy is. I will be looking that up.😊 I'm so glad you shared your homemade Christmas gifts. Have a great day. XO
@UniquelyLesa cowboy candy is candied jalapeno peppers. Pretty hot. Less if you remove membrane and seeds. Absolutely wear gloves and don't touch eyes or any sensitive areas. You'll be on fire!! I'll try to find my favorite recipe and send. 🥰🥰

New Follower 😁 I have the glass bow box in green 💚
I love what he doing I do honestly I ijust don't understand why they're monopolizing like this its ridiculously
I would MUCH rather have a resale / repurposed item . To me it shows good stewardship of the planet. Yes on the bread would love it!
Hi there and thanks so much for watching! 100% yes to this statement. Hope you have a great NYE night. XO

A lot of these homemade gift videos look a little sad to me, but yours are stunning! So elegant!
The decanter with bath salts is a brilliant idea and that bread pan, oh my!
Everything is GORGEOUS!! A quick tip is to spray the top of the bread dough with oil before covering in the plastic wrap and it will glide right off!
HI there and thank you so much for that tip to spray the plastic wrap! I never expected to get that beautiful rise on my bread. 😅 The nice surprise of baking in a new to me dish! Have a good night and hope to see you again soon. XO
Great festive ideas! Thank you for all of the tips and tricks.

I’m in Brownsville, Texas, and glassware everywhere is very expensive, I have discovered. But if I ever find something reasonable, I have some great ideas on how to use it. Thanks!
@ourfunnyfamilySD I was at a goodwill yesterday and regular nothing fancy kitchen glasses started at $2.99.
Love that bread pan! And it's even nicer when received with fresh bread! I make candles and use molds for wax warmers. I buy used scented candles at thrift stores or tag sales. Pay $1 for a half burned Yankee jar candle and get 100 wax tarts!
There’s nothing tacky about these well thought out repurposed container/ gifts….appreciate you sharing these great ideas!!!🎄
Thank you for going to Goodwill and showing that you can buy good items to give to others. Besides, by buying there, you are helping to employ others. It also shows that you don’t have to go to expensive stores to get that perfect gift fir someone.

Great ideas. Love the homemade bread idea ❤
I loved all your ideas. I love to thrift but never thought of these ideas for gifting. Thanks for the video. I’m definitely following you.
Hi there and welcome! It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for watching and for your kind comment. Have a wonderful evening and hope to see you again soon. XO
Hey girl! I love goodwill and thrifting. Love these types of videos.
I just came in contact with your channel, and I love it. Thank you for showing us all your finds. Wonderful ideas.
Hello and welcome! It is nice to meet you. I'm glad you enjoyed thrifting with me. 😊 Have a great day and hope to see you again soon. XO
Wow🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Lisa your soo intelligent never in my life would I think of going to the thrift stores to buy and transform them into beautiful gifts, yes the thrift stores are getting expensive.
HOBBY Lobby and Joann Frabrics have many unique containers and their sales are fantastic.
I like the coco jars and would use small jars for children.
Hi there! Great ideas! I'm so glad you shared your comment with us. You can do so much with the jars. 😍XO
Thank you! XO
Your gift ideas are brilliant. I would love to receive any of them!🥰🥰
Awe, thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the ideas! Homemade gifts are the best in my opinion. I hope you have a wonderful day.
XO
Could you spray the bread with a olive oil while it is rising,
You have to give the bread immediately.

Hi there and thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the gift ideas. I will definitely keep my eye out for men's gift ideas. They are so hard to buy for. At least in my household where I am outnumbered three to one. 😅 I hope you have a great afternoon. XO

Hi Jody! Thank you so much for watching and for your sweet words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great rest of your week.
XO
I would love homemade bread. My friend and I have made jellies and cowboy candy to give for Christmas this year.
Great ideas. Merry Christmas 🎅
Have a safe happy holiday 😊
I hope you had wonderful holidays. Hard to believe we are already into February! Time flies by way to fast. XO
Hello friend, those are some amazing gifts. You have the best ideas❤👍👍
Wonderful ideas. Would love any of these gifts!
Oh, that little white jar with the lid for butter would have gone really well with the bread.
These are all so adorable!! I would love these❤
Very nice! I would love any of these gifts!
