In the 90s consoles started like the ‪@SEGA‬ Megadrive, ‪@NintendoAmerica‬ 64 and the ‪@PlayStation‬ including Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario Brothers, Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing. With multiplayer gaming! In the 2000s players around the world could play together. MMOs - massively multiplayer online games where there are big universes where everyone can play like Minecraft and Animal Crossing. GAMING COMPETITION FOR THE ORANGE BLUE PETER BADGE AND MORE:
Would you like the chance to meet a superstar gamer and record a video with them about the hottest games of 2021? What about the opportunity to design an in-game skin for a character from the hit game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout?! Well, you can win both! All you need to do is record a video of yourself talking about something you really love, design a character skin and tell us about them and the world they live in.
YOU MUST BE AGED BETWEEN 6-15. ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5PM ON WEDNESDAY 30TH DECEMBER 2020.
How to Enter Blue Peter’s Gaming Competition:
Make a short (less than 1 min) video about yourself, your favourite things, hobbies, or talents. It doesn’t have to be about gaming - it’s about you!
Write a short paragraph to describe your in-game skin idea and tell us where it would live.
Draw a picture to show us your idea.
Enter the competition by clicking on the button below to upload your video, words and design and grab a grown-up to complete the form.
Make sure your parent/guardian has read and agrees to the Rules and the BBC Privacy Policy before you enter.
What we are looking for:
We want your entry to be the best it can, so here are some top tips.
Video -
DO Make your video less than 1 minute long. Make sure it is original, imaginative and entertaining. Make sure you record the sound and that we can see you clearly.
DON’T Include anyone else in the video and don’t do anything against local COVID rules.
Unique Game Skin -
DO Be unique and original. Think about what will make your idea stand out, be funny, creative, colourful, imaginative. You can use the Blue Peter ship in your design, (but you do not have to). It must be suitable for kids aged 6 to 12. Your description should be less than 250 words.
DON’T Include characters or brand names or images that already exist. It must not feature any weapons.
When you have everything ready, click on the button below and upload your video, words and design following the instructions, making sure that your parent/guardian fills out the personal details and questions.
