  • Facilitated by Professor Peter Little, Deputy Vice Chancellor, QUT, the Game Changers series brings innovation leaders from business, technology, and creative industries to share their insights with aspiring Queensland entrepreneurs. This is your chance to ask how local entrepreneurs and business leaders build companies, reinvent themselves generation after generation, inspire teams, and envision success.
Over the past 20 years Dimity Dornan has helped countless hearing impaired children to listen and speak like children with normal hearing. A speech pathologist turned social entrepreneur, Dimity founded Hear and Say in 1992, developing it into one of the world's leading paediatric auditory-verbal and cochlear implant centres.
Today, Hear and Say provides services for over 600 children and families across Australia, and delivers global professional training for similar centres and universities across the world. As Executive Director, Dimity continues to use her medical background and sharp business acumen to advocate for a realistic solution for deaf children. Dimity has received a number of awards, including the Ernst and Young Australian Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2005) and Telstra Business Woman of the Year (2011).
Game Changers is a Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame initiative presented by SLQ, QUT Business School and the Queensland Library Foundation. The Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame, celebrates, records and retells the stories of Queensland business leaders and their contributions to Queensland.
