When I realise I'm having a panic attack my brain goes blank and I feel empty (it's like the panic attack was never there and the world is fuzzy). When I don't focus the anxiety comes back. I'm anxious and shaky and breathing bad then numb. It's a cycle. I get that it's the freeze response, and I have DID? But it is so abrupt and it is hard to get my head around.
I just had a panic attack and went to the ER and they told me to calm down and breath 😅
Shortness of breathe is horrible too
