Question: How long does the batteries itself last in the 12-259? I am thinking of getting one to replace my AcuRite 8550 that I recently retired due to it's speaker about dying.
dude if you do not like hh radios why you buy them there is nothing wrong with hand held radios thats dumb stuiped thing to say you do not recomend 12-240 or 12- 140 or hh 50 hh 51 i recomend every weather radio from old to the new one

I use rechargeables in my HH54 and soon 12-259. Whenever it’s plugged in it doesn’t use battery
The battery in the 259 last about 1 to 2 weeks
