once you fixed the program, door will not open until last minute, and child lock button is for locking button operation to safe guard of washing cloths from child as child click any button.
if you know, clothes will leaves colour , then you should wash gently by hand, their is no requirement of washing machine for such type of cloths. Non-scene question
