I'm starting to think none of the cast members besides Wayne, Josie, Greg, and Chip saw the original Star Wars movies plus the three that released between 1999 and 2005. I found out YEARS later that Greg was actually in Phantom Menace as the English-Speaking Pod-Race Announcer of the two heads.
If I'm correct, Whose Line is actually the reason why Greg got the Star Wars acting job. Greg was doing the British whose line at the time, and happened to be they're at the same time George and company was making episode 1, and the rest is history.
Ryan stated a few times that he had never seen Star Wars (or Star Trek either). One time he even mentioned or tried to be Yoda in a Star Trek scene. I think later on in the series he eventually reveals that he finally saw Star Wars.
I'm so glad I found your channel a while back, absolutely the best Whose Line... quality content/compilations I've yet to see anywhere! Thank you. Now back to the show ... 👏
Drew- A lot of people forget that on the Drew Carry show, Ryan and I have been totally naked. Ryan- Of course some of us needed a wide-angle lens. Drew- and some of us needed a zoom. Chalk down a point for Drew on that one.
crazy to think all the "young" people in the audience back then are now probably in their 50s and 60s. that's just how long ago this show was...years go by fast
Its not insecure, improv is a ton of fun but unless you're really good at it, it's incredibly lame to watch. And there's a low barrier of entry, any city with a college almost surely has a free improv class. So I'm sure they got a ton of tapes of people who thought they were hilarious, trying to get on the show, but it was never gonna happen even if they were funnier than regular cast members, and they likely never were even in the same ballpark
@sethh5106 You miss the point by a mile. A secure person would not say it like Drew does. Besides, he would disagree with you. In more recent interviews. He admits his insecurities from that time in his life. Peace
I think it from the Let’s make a date when Colin was the Dutch boy trying to plug the holes in the dike to stop the water. If I recall Chip was making the date 😊
Loved this show and the talented cast....except for brady.....he just trying to hard and overacting everything, what a turn off. Drew was the best host ever.
I never understood why they always say stuff like "Remember our motto..." or "On his deathbed my father said...". In almost all the scenes it would be funnier if they just said the line.
They're trying to bring the quote in with some context. It's also a well known part of improv and humour to subvert your expectations, so without some of those setups the random lines might not land as humourously as you'd think. It'd be like playing cards against humanity by just picking up a white card and reading it out. Without the black card there's no set up.

I love this game so much. They play off of each other so well, I could honestly watch them do this for hours.
We finally get to Whose Line, one of the funniest games imo.
Ive been waiting for this one, this is my favorite game on the show 😊 thank you!
The Alamo scene is the one I've watched at least a hundred times since it first aired. Still cracks me up.😅
Shut up and touch the monkey!!!!
Can't forget the alimony, eh?
18:16 Ryan walking as a French maid! 😂😂

Only reason I knew that was because my family religiously watched Whose Line back then and we recognized his voice
Greg Kinnear?

I cannot thank you enough for compiling all these games together, thank you SO much! I only hope that this channel never gets taken down.
When I was a kid my cousin and I died laughing when Colin read "The Canadiens are coming!" We still quote it to this day
Ah! A ghost!
These are absolute Whose Line classics. Just excellent pieces of improv and comedy in general. So awesome.
Ryan really leaning into the French maid joke on the Alamo bit was what made it for me lol
16:33 This whole Alamo scene is great 😂
The look on Ryan’s face when Colin says what you talking about Willis…. Priceless.
The Alamo scene cracks me up,every time.
Remember the Alimony,indeed!😂

Another gem, Great job once again!! Love this game, so FUNNY!!
Their “accents” are hilarious 😂
Its kinda funny how the one improv game thats in the title of the show they played one of the least
These two play so well together. What great improv.
Thank you ! Totally forgot about this game. Your the best !

I've spent the last two decades wondering where I had heard "I dinna like it much!" in a bad Scottish accent before. I wonder no longer. Och! Aye!
Which is funny because Collin was born in Scotland.
These two were just on another level. It adds an extra layer just watching Wayne and the rest of the crew laughing their asses off in the background

Out of all WLIIA skits I've watched (again and again, of course), the Alamo one may be the best one all around.

Nice for Whose Line to have a game based on the title of the show Whose Line.
Underrated game!
Some of the highlights is watching the ones behind them loose it whenever Ryan/Colin come up with comedy gold

Appreciate what Drew has done keeping the show going, but he is so insecure: "Stop sending us your crummy tapes." What a fool he is.
It's a comedy show. He was joking.
