The Q7 check-fold on the turn against the turned set of K is just pure ownage. I have to say it is pretty impressive to sit and brag about you being the best in the world at this game, then showing your skills in practice in such a way.
I mean sure but there are lots of hands like KQJT, KQXX, KKXX and the fact that Bleznick led flop by potting for Chidwick to then bet into him is super strong
Honestly as short as chidwicks stack was and as massive of a chip lead as Jarod had it's not super hard to lay that down when chidwick made a tiny raise when he had only a pot size bet altogether making it look like he trying to get any value he can and Jarod could just wait him out for a better spot even if chidwick had a wrap, or AA, or any type of KXXX hand that had straight outs and maybe a pair on the flop Jarod isn't much of a favorite anyways.
Having a guy in a fleece jacket opening boxes of sports cards while playing for million must be gut wrenchingly tilting for those GTO nerds and it makes for pure entertainment to those watching
Jared is an example of what difference years can make to a person’s demeanour and personality. I remember seeing him on the PLO week on PAD over a decade ago and he was so cringingly awkward. I prefer this hyper-self confident version of him for tv.
Damn this is awesome thanks Phil, I watched this live and absolutely loved the “I’m the best whether I win or not” stuff, most exciting banter I’ve seen in high stakes for years 😂
Great video Phil. I love how Phil so tactfully presented the pros and cons of Jared's "Best in the world" claim. I watched this FT a couple times. Jared may not be best in the world but he's a damn good poker player.
Jared's performance in this event was what it looks like when a man achieves/enters into full flow state @ the card table & cannot be stopped! Owning both Ike & Chidwicks souls like he did was absolutely nuts!!! 👏 👏 👏
It’s high time poker commentators stop saying “that’s an interesting card”. It literally means nothing now that people say it for 100% of turns and rivers.
Jared said that nobody has beat him in HU PLO cash. Do you hear any whisperings otherwise? Any chance you could talk him into taking on the Galfond Challenge?
5:00 when the overwhelming chip leader says “in that case I’ll Fold” it kind of says everything about ICM. It’s designed to ensure everyone “plays by the rules” but for us amateurs who don’t play the game for money it’s meaningless.
5:00 watching poker is fun when there is someone who doesnt care about ICM. For everyone else who is playing as a committee it becomes a snoozefest where someone becomes chip leader and is basically gifted the win while everyone else is playing for second.
I remember seeing Bleznick walking around at the RIO WSOP around the late 2000s. He was tall and skinny guy. He's got a belly now. I guess that's what casino food and poker will do to you.
I enjoyed watching it in real-time, you should have included the K6 vs K67 hand, after which he talked about how the rest of the tournament was a freeroll for him, he should have gone broke.
the first hand he is only raising to polarize his oponents calls, when the guy just calls he never has a straight so if the flush doesnt come he can pressure the guy out
I thought Bleznick was Luke Schwartz, and I misread human robots as just robots. So this video ended up being very interesting, but different than what I expected.
Most of the time I can't watch poker content after running bad in online low stakes poker out of saltiness, but this breakdown was super informative and entertaining. Made me love the game more.
My favorite poker player in the world. I played with Belznick at Commerce many years ago. was a nice guy and humble. Read my soul on 3 streets trying to bluff him, then folded when I back doored him on the river.
I was rooting super hard for Bleznick. He won me over as a fan. Super entertaining and made a ton of ridiculously good plays, including the Q7 check fold. He had other spots where he folded like he just soul read his opponents. Definitely tough to play against
oh I watched this tourney and to have Phil do a video on it? That's even better than Bleznick could ever dream of! *winks* PS: I recently got it in with the nut straight on a bloated flop pot from a pre flop short stack getting it in... both of the other dudes calling beat me by hitting 6 outs combined between them. Fun game this PLO. PPS: At best Jared is up against AAJT and that hand has Q7 two pair crushed anyway, solid fold... people watching ought to know Chidwick was playing super tight and snug that whole table also... that downsizing just looks so strong after calling the flop.
So, I remember this guy from poker after dark plo. He was playing the highest stakes then (like 15 years ago) and apparently he still does. Not sure about the best in the world but he's pretty good no doubt.
I once went to Jared’s high rise in San Diego , my dad knows him till this day I was sweating him play Rui cao heads up in the nose bleeds I remember him taking a beat and smashing his mouse into smitherings and throws it into a trash can, he walks away I looked into the trash can only to see like two other broken mouses already in there 😂 Shit was comical this was a young Jared Bleznick a good 10 years ago . This guys has been him for a long time .
regardless of what you think of Bleznick, he is great for the game. Ike and Chidwick are amazing players but they definitely have made poker a bit more tedious to watch for the casual fan.
When he uses his time to open and look at his stuff, why is that over the line? The great thing about having time banks is you can use them for whatever you want to use them for. He's using them for psychological reasons.
If you watched the whole stream you know that if Bleznick played Haxton HU 100 times he would win at least 70 of them. I mean he just thoroughly outplayed Haxton the ENTIRE FT
imagine getting that triggered over a mask... what if he has extenuating health issues? his brain > your brain, so maybe just accept that his risk assessment is valid?
@@CourageOfMyConvictions He doesn't have health issues, yet. Although he sure looks unhealthy. He's talked about why he wears a face diaper and it seems he doesn't have a brain in the common sense department. Is his poker brain better than mine? Sure. @@rooksman64agree. I get that Chid wanted to build pot but it was kinda face up
he doesn't see chidwick consistently betting small without the nuts (that has obviously a lot of incentives to do that)
Honestly as short as chidwicks stack was and as massive of a chip lead as Jarod had it's not super hard to lay that down when chidwick made a tiny raise when he had only a pot size bet altogether making it look like he trying to get any value he can and Jarod could just wait him out for a better spot even if chidwick had a wrap, or AA, or any type of KXXX hand that had straight outs and maybe a pair on the flop Jarod isn't much of a favorite anyways.

That check fold was god tier
@@highlyblessed87no it’s not! Grow up. He said nothing offensive. He can use his time bank however he wants

This video was incredible Phil! Bleznick seems to be quite the character and you did a great job mixing in and out
Thank you! 😊
It’s high time poker commentators stop saying “that’s an interesting card”. It literally means nothing now that people say it for 100% of turns and rivers.
Well then, I guess we've found the next Galfond challenge candidate.
Looking at Ikes eyeballs in peak tilt mode while Bleznick opens those boxes was very entertaining.
Bless Bleznick for being a babyhat gigachad. I love bucket hats.
Jared said that nobody has beat him in HU PLO cash. Do you hear any whisperings otherwise? Any chance you could talk him into taking on the Galfond Challenge?
Literally everyone has quit him, it sounds absurd but he isn't lying
He's good for the game, he makes it entertaining to watch for people that aren't poker players, we need more like him!

keep doing this type of videos, i am a new poker player, the way you show the pros & cons of every move helps me to learn a lot. Love You Phil🤟💌
That check fold against Chidwick’s set is fucking inspired but can we stop putting shit on the table? I am shocked they allow that…
Awesome content Phil, been waiting for your breakdown of this tourney!
Thank you! 😊 This was a fun one to break down.

Lol me too. Bleznick is looking ripe. lol
Is Bleznick opening packs of basketball cards at the table? LMAO
Cool, genuine and funny guy. In addition, looks pretty decent player, cheers to him!🤠
I was neutral on Jared's antics until I realized Ike was annoyed buy him, now I'm all for it.
We need such charecters for TV . Not GTO robots indeed
Doug ripped on Dnegs until he i got hu for rolls and won 1M. Now Phil gets his chance with Blez. Very exciting times.

Ike losing his mind with his muzzle on is f’n hilarious
I was rooting for Blez so hard in that tourney. Especially heads up. Something about Ike that doesn’t sit well with me
Love the nuanced breakdowns
Awesome stuff, love having some plo content in my life to mix things up
We need more guys like him, like live a little and have fun at the table once in a while.
I would actually watch these tournaments if ppl like this guy played. Very entertaining
why is haxton still masking up
I don't watch much plo and don't play it at all, but I might start watching because of this guy.

This is honestly hilarious. Need more characters like this in poker and with time bank chips i have no problem with it at all.
Best in the world? Believe the Galfond challenge is still accepting challengers 😮. With that being said , Bleznick definitely is entertaining.
Who do you think has an edge in a PLO tournament? 100% PLO Cash player or 100% NLHE Tournament player?
PLO hands down
It's very obviously the PLO cash game player

The virgin chad meme comes to mind when watching this
Why is Jared wearing that? What’s with the purple glasses too? 😂
Gto nerds, is an 18bb open potting range a thing? doing 2-2.5x/limping is far more effective at utilizing position
