I'm constantly amazed by the size of your 'normal' fish.
Literally every fish you pull in is larger than anything I've ever caught in my life xD
NZ for you.
And this goes for your prime minister’s balls as well “Huge!”
Wow just seeing this out of the box th-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
4 k clarity NZ spring creeks in perfect conditions. What more could you ask for.
To be there. Lol.
This is incredible stuff.
Dude New Zealand is just insane
Right Gareth I think this is now the right time to say this,I subscribed to you the first time I seen you a good while ago, loved yours and your videos with Alex, but you went through a period when your videos were boring, you had lost your way ,lost respect for your quarry ,looked as if you were going through the motions,I thought at one point you were going to Jack it in,I was going to unsuscribe but I couldn't find any body in the same class as yourself, not interested what caused the slump, rant over ,I just want to say that I am glad I stuck with you, these videos you are producing now are the best ever, you are back to the Gareth of old,and your money is well spent, these latest are superb ,sorry for going on but I am just glad you've got your mojo back,I am an old guy with 60 yrs of wild fishing,so keep up the great work, respect.
Looks like you’re almost to helms deep
Nice, but the music overlay is too loud IMO.
4k awesomeness
Def notice the difference. looks sick. Really brings out your 20ft leader 🤣
hey mate, quick tip, boost your audio on the big camera. the gopro is louder than it. try levelise the commentary
fantastic vid
Insane fishing!!!! Be careful with that hand on the blank, though
Wow just love your vids
wow. Possibly the most visually stunning yet simply put-together fly fishing video I've seen. it's the weather, the scenery, and the excellent commentary. Chill and beautiful. Been watching your videos for ages Gareth but this one kills it. nice one
Beauties! Color on their heads are more like a rainbow. Awesome, man!!
Yeah 4k makes that scenery even more awesome. Hope to get down to the SI before the end of the season for a few days to get schooled by big browns. Have never done it so have to go give it a go. Great vid as always mate
video quality is noticeable for sure.
Jes*s, that trout in the opening looks like a bloody tarpon!
Your new cameras clearly make a difference.
check that water! Beautiful thanks.
Amazing Man...Loved it
they look like Arctic char, from the sea
Your vids are always clear and quality editing, I didn’t think it would be able to go up another notch but in the 4k it almost feels like your there. Some insane size trout in some really amazing looking waters. Thanks for sharing it with us all
The 4k is unreal.. crystal clear
What is the best flies I can get right now?

Great in 4K
Love the 4K!
Dude that 4K difference is effen amazing. Epic. 🤙🤙
Brilliant place to catch fish, the water is so clear I guess your always going to spook some. The 4k helps enhance the atmosphere and with the water shots, and did you find your camera
Great stuff liked it a lot and final style on last fish was good too. Hope u found your camera bag too.
Gareth, awesome fishing. I’ll have to watch on something bigger than a phone to see the difference, but it looks pretty sharp! How long is that rod? I notice you’re able to stay way back from the edge when casting, which must help.
That was excellent Gareth, the video definition is really crisp and I think a real improvement.
The quality is insane, like crazy I’ve never seen a video on TH-cam this beautiful
Yeah the 4K is amazing. Crime to not use it given the scenery! I was down that way at the start of 2020 - can’t wait to get back there.
Gareth, the clarity of your videos has always been excellent and now it goes up another notch, absolutely brilliant and then you add in the fishing, really enjoy your stuff, many thanks.
hey garth a great time fishing on that steam in the south island. that new camera set up was very nice and that drone footage was really nice. you have the best channel.
Amazing
Great coverage of a slice of heaven, both fish and location! Well done.....
Best you have done in a long time. So fun. New stuff is great.
4k, amazing picture quality!
水至清则无鱼?!
dude, video is quality as usual, but 4k has taken it to the next level!
You are absolutely living the dream mate
Fantastic clarity and sharpness - lot better
Miraculous you kept the hook stuck in that first fish so well
Dude, 4K is awesome! This one was fantastic!
👍👍👍🎣
Shots look insane bro. 4K worth it💯
That fish was in crazy condition. What a tank!
NZ looks beautiful in 4K😍
Stunning landscape. 👍
Big difference with the 4k!
Wow- those are some gorgeous fish!
Hey man, where was this?
Did you find your bag?
What an amazing place.
so sick! 🙌🏻🤙🏻
Beautiful!
There time and last time I'm telling you keep your rod tip ABOUT 2 INCHES ABOVE THE SURFACE
Third
I disagree. How does a Low Rod tip improve drag/drift? Is 1 inch better then 2? Is 3 way to far?
@@TroutHuntingNZ I agree that it doesn't. It all comes down to what the current is doing, eddies, etc and where the line is lying. In fact, most of the time, I find having the rod tip almost touching the water increases drag, as amongst other things, the current is typically flowing faster in the center of the stream than at the edges.
Nice
Bro that brought back some memories. Last time I was in there was 28 years ago on a school camp. Great fishing.
What’s the river called
@@dylanyoule2111 that’s the Nunya river in NZ
Where is nunya river
I’m young and new to fly fishing I just want to learn
All good . You'll find that not many anglers will let on to where their fav fishing spots are.
Excellent brilliant 👍
Do you have a TikTok page sir?
And Instagram
Yep same name on both
