1:00 In pune area, there are so many Jamadar or Jamdar sirname especially in maratha community. It means in marathi, person who collects tax and maintain the records... those people who used to do this work in maratha era, are now jamadar or jamdar... there is entire hill of the name of jamadar in eastern pune... In the 1818 Anglo-maratha war, jamadar was the main leader of Indian people army in British armed force... If he is originally from Pune, then it means tax collector not toilet cleaner...

As a 66 year old person i have been living together with different communities in the most enjoyable and respectful way compared to nowadays. Unfortunately, certain religious people are doing more damage nowadays by providing our children a different type of education where we are taught to see only differences instead of similarities in those innocent children.

We should not consider jati . The reason is that jati is not based on race but its based on profession of ancestors not the present generation. We should only consider Race ( ethnicity) when it comes to marriage.

As he said, we are x, y, and z by religion but Indian by culture. I am a Telugu Hindu, who is culturally similar to another non-Hindu Telugu than a Hindu from the cow belt region. This is why UNITY IN DIVERSITY is important for keeping India intact. One religion, one culture, one language and eventually one party and one leader ideology will destroy India.
