this game is the most underated fighting game in history. excellent soundtrack. wide array of various characters and smooth seamless semi-like game controls for 1996 this gameplay rivals many and if not exceeds fighting games of today.
The best street fighter game i ever played to tell you the truth.Think this is underrated, power stone is it's own genre to be a game of it's own way of fighting where u can do lots of interactions with the maps you fight on and part 2 was super fun where indiana jones scenarios start happening while you fight opponents and you both have to concentrate escape getting killed from the environment while fighting. They need to make another 1 instead of this boring crap they keep making these days.Sad Capcom never got around to making a part 3.Mega man legends and power stone got done the same way smh
The Developers took a big risk with the soundtrack as it was one of the first in the Street Fighter series to have more live based instruments. It pays off really well. This one is definitely a prime example. Who would of thought Smooth/Acid Jazz as one? Excellent job.
Jazz-fusion, prog-rock and tune over 3:00 min... no other fighting game has a soundtrack like Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, truly a masterpiece. Please Arika, do another fighting game with your epic characters and awersome music!
Blows me away how well put together video game soundtracks really were back in the day know it sounds strange but I play a lot of these in my truck. It reminds me of a simple time in my life
If Allen was in SF4/5 I can see he has an Ultra. It'll be mixture of Triple Break and Vaulting Kick. I would call it "Final Break". His 2nd Ultra would be a stronger version of Justice Fist would be called "Justice Punish". Would be interesting but alas, I am just rambling. :P
What does Allen say when he's with a hot woman? I have a RISING DRAGON in my pants. What happens when Allen stops work for a few minutes? A TRIP-PLE BREAK! (yeah, those jokes sucked I know lol)
@@ShiftyGuy777 You have to go to the bottom of third round. And it happen often if the contenders are as strong as each other. Or playing hours in practice mode tryin to link a combo of 20 hits 🤣 Memories.

street fighter third strike please dont forget that classic. but this game i will never forget till the day i die. one of the best themes ive ever heard..
I'd like to know what kind of genre is this music. It's so hard to find simillar stuff. Somebody help me :D . Also, i'd like to know what kind of instrument or voice in keyboard is simillar to the louder sound in parts like 1:08.
Renan de Oliveira Pereira Generally speaking, this style is often called "Synth Fusion"; as a style, it kinda mixes together elements of synthpop (through the use of keyboards, samplers, drum machines and the like), various schools of rock (the use of guitars, obviously), and many elements of freeform jazz (general compositional flow, lots of big, wanky, but aboslutely awesome solos). This kinda stuff was all over games in the 90s, especially during the early days of Redbook Audio/CD Quality Audio. I'm a big fan of the style myself, but I admit I'm struggling to really think of an example of it's use within mainstream music. I CAN reccomend, however, looking into an album called Escape Goat; it was released by Akira, the developer of the Street Fighter EX games, around about the time development had either finished or was just wrapping up on SFEX2, and features both alternate takes on songs from the first SFEX and original material done in the same style, by the composers from the games (Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Takayuki Aihara).
Renan de Oliveira Pereira it's not much about genre, it's about awesome musicians - they play like a one. i'm a musician and only i can say is WOW. whole band is just perfect (except keyboards), it's rare, its VERY rare that band playing with such power and faith.
this game is the most underated fighting game in history. excellent soundtrack. wide array of various characters and smooth seamless semi-like game controls for 1996 this gameplay rivals many and if not exceeds fighting games of today.
Agreed, the only thing that plagued this game was framerate issues at times.
@@JustSomeDinosaurPerson False, Ex Plus Alpha ran really smoothly. You are mistaking for EX2 Plus which did have framerate issues.
@@AncientIdol loved this game me and my homie always randomly end up putting on one of these theme songs while chillin

FACTS.

Mike Saint-Jules it’s so good. 18 somethin years later. Still killin it.
Glad they made that risk!
I always wondered why the music was different then other games when I was young it paid off big
EX series has GODLIKE music
GODLIKE
alucard0712 bloody godlike. I hope they get back to some amazing music in SFV
Totally true
Cowboy Curtis Arika is back with a new Ex series. It's all over TH-cam!
Calm down. Not all are great.
This song soothes my soul even 24yrs later. God I miss the good Era of gaming 😊🙌🏾

1997 golden years of video games PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn best system ever
Life was so good back then :) everyday come back from school and switch on the old play station and play this game.. Wish I could go back in time...
nithin naidu You're not alone.
I and my friends almost every night going to play this game :) SF EX and SF Alpha are the best SF games in my opinion.
dont we all....

nithin naidu BOY YOU SAID IT!!!!!
Tell me about it.

Not strange at all. i still to this day listen and work out to this album. By far one of the best Albums let alone Game sounds tracks I've ever heard.
I do the same, it reminds me my childhood when i was an happy child, those memories are so sweet and painful at the same time..
Please don't feel like that. Out of anything I listen to, THIS IS MY GO TO EVERYTIME. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS!!!!!
We all do so my friend, I am listening right now
Soul Force!
Rising Dragon!
Justice Fist!
Fire Force!
Triple Break!

Then everybody in Fighting Layer will be in SFV and Namco will have to put out their own version of SFV. Interesting thought though if they did. :D

SONIC KABOOM
Lariator!!!
This is a criminally underrated game. It still stands as my favorite street fighter.
This is one of the best compositions ive had the pleasure to listen to. Such a hard song.
"SONIKABOOM!"
Pitta To me, he sounded like he was shouting "PEEKABOO!!!!"
Sanikabūmu*

It will always be Briccamu to me.
"Do you even Sonic Boom, bro?"
That's what that face says, to me.
SONIC KABOOM

Or more like he’s trying to figure out if his opponent is a family man or not?
Briccamu
I came here just to hear this cool soundtrack. Love this tune.👍😎
Man I love this song, its such a blast of nostalgia every time I hear it
Best ost ever in capcom series! Ayako Saso is a genius
One of the best songs in all the game.
All these character themes are timeless; I will keep coming back to listen to them for years to come.
Even games from the 80s and 90s had better music than what they play on the radio today.

It's a crime (I really freaking mean it) that this soundtrack doesn't have an official release.
As a kid when I played this and ever got to fight Guile and Allen back to back I was a happy camper simply because of this track
The best theme in the game!
this theme still goes with everything
These guys would agree: th-cam.com/video/yt6DDEj89Js/w-d-xo.html
With every relisten of this track I appreciate another part of the composition. There so much going on!
Da JUSTICE FIST is back! Allen confirmed for new ARIKA fighting game 2018! Can't wait to hear this theme again after nearly 20 years in a modern game.
Which one?
welcome back ALLEN!!
I honestly feel like I could come back to this song in another 20+ years time and it will still have the same effect it had on me all those years ago.

Indeed it is. Reminds me of a better time than this.

PHENOMENAL SOUNDTRACK.
Allen Snider's stance is just him vibin to this funky joint.
One of the best guys , honestly , fighting with allen on the airport was an insane spot.

1:14 - Megaman vibes!
1:56 - the switch off between the piano solo and guitar solo is ridiculously seamless.
Guile ALWAYS has the best themes.
agreed
This song made me go back in time !! Many thanks brother !!!! I really liked your channel !!!
Easily one of the best tracks in the game. That funky piano tho
The perfect OST. It just cannot get old!
