- We went out spinner fishing for Walleye on Lake Erie in Spring 2021 to one of my hotspots near the Islands. We literally caught our limit in around a half an hour. In this video I share some great tips for using spinner blades on Lake Erie in the Spring.
Capt. Ross Robertson has made his complete living chasing walleye as a full time professional angler for more than 20 years. Through the years he has worn many hats including time as a fishing guide, boat salesman, TV host, outdoor writer, product designer, tournament fisherman, speaker, radio host and podcaster to name a few.
Ross fishes ice-out to ice-up on the Great Lakes. He spends the majority of the year walleye fishing on Lake Erie’s Western and Central basins.

Your Videos Are Always Fun,can't wait to get my back fixed so I can get out and FISH!
I know that boat launch we shoot out of their alot! Good video👍
I would rather pull worms then anything! I pull BB off the side no boards 3 rods a side heavier weights 8oz 6oz 4oz. And your right Ross let the fish tell you where they want it.
What kind of blades you use going at that speed as I found that I have to need to run like 1.6-2.0 to get regular 4-6 six size to spin?
Depends on style but those sizes turn way slower than what you said. Colorado or Indiana have no issue way slower that 1.6
@@Bigwaterfishing Reason I asked was on Erie last week and at 1.5 mph off the side of the boat a number five was just barely spinning. Was a Colorado blade ordered from Jansport.
Another great video. Catawba?
When he’s in the zone HE WILL NOT TALK TO YOU!! I tried 😂😂

Lmao! Ross! Multiple species angler! Only the second one. Hilarious dude!!!
First sheephead? Umm, no.
What is your go to spinning rod/length/action to run with Bottom bouncers. Great job.
All the walleye videos I've watched haven't really talked about blade size and how going larger or smaller change the presentation. I only have one size blade, some metal, some plastic and countless colors. Could you give a quick explanation on how the size changes the presentation?
Where is the boat ramp you used in this video?
