  • Designed by RLDA Architects, the house includes multiple contexts of climate, landscape, and materiality to create a spatial experience that is constantly evolving and engaging.

The project engages with tectonics, sun, and shadow, creating a pattern on the wall in response to the position of the sun. The brick patterns create an aesthetic that is dynamic as well as static.
Principal Architects Rahoul Singh and Lakshmi Chand Singh explain the design strategies of planning this house, which is divided into two residential blocks, with a steel trellis connecting the two.

I really like the brickwork and courtyards, but I'd prefer a bit less 'hardscape' in terms of the concrete walkways, stone etc. A bit of greenery would be very nice. Even vines on parts of the brick walls.
You need to soften the exterior a bit to make it more inviting, imo (and to reduce heating)
Absolutely love the tile in bedroom @ 2:57. Instead of using it over entire floor you were restrained. Classy.
    👍👍

Lovely farm house probably one of the best in the series... Wishing the owners all happiness in this beautiful abode. Lovely design and excellent execution by the design and build team. What would be the all inclusive price per square foot for design and build and all furniture, carpentry, plumbing, electrical works, interiors, wardrobe et al?

@@daa7241 if this was so Indian mindset then only 7% of Indians wouldn’t be paying income tax. I am sure there are more Indians who earn taxable income. You see big houses with multiple cars and lavish lifestyle in so many Indian cities yet only 7% people actually pay tax. This was my typical Indian mindset. Not sure about you.

@@sanjubaba7877 the 7% of Indian come from FM speech, right? Stupid like you think loves to see CEO in America not in India. Majority those who don't pay tax or file return are either farming or low income group. Who do nothing productive but blame any businessman for corruption etc. That's the mindset I was talking about.

Might be an ordinance or requirement not to subdivide land parcels.

It looks like a huge furnace. Summers in Delhi are long and harsh. That would make the treeless outdoors unbearable. Also, the porch/external foyer area is unnecessarily complicated and doesn't lead into a space that's wow or even warm (not temperature warm but welcoming warm). The indoor plan is disjointed and the interior aesthetics and design are random. Overall, the window cutouts and circular roof vents are too modern in shape to blend with the rooted aesthetic the architects claim to be aiming for. And that thing in the middle is more of a roofless atrium and less of a courtyard. It's a waste of space.
