The first rafter tail looks deeper than the others, where the soffit boards butt up against it instead of nailing over it like the rest of the rafters. That's an interesting detail to plan & design for, and I'm curious why you did it that way.
No difference in the rafter or tail, I think what you are seeing is a piece of trim that serves as a divider between the gable soffit and eave soffit. That prevents a bunch of ugly but joints all in one place.
There’s always hand nailing overhead!😳😂. Oh I just received my 122 and they have upgraded the scale pointer and the lumber scales, the pointer is on the website but no price so I’m wondering if it’s a free upgrade if you call, and the lumber scales I feel could be more difficult for some they are not marked as 4/4 or 5/4 etc. marked as 1 1/8- 1 1/16 or 4” 3 1/2, wish I could send you a picture cause I could not find any info on woodland mills website
I believe they were offering the revised pointer to folks for free, but I like my modified setup better so I didn't request one. Be curious to see what they did to the rulers, because the old ones were very sloppy and imprecise.
@@Lumber_Jack I put a tape measure on it and it seems the area for the kerf is still to thick but maybe I’m not understanding it yet and there’s no info
Your attention to detail and the reasoning behind them is rewarding.
