makes no difference! You'll probably never boost the gain that high on a condenser mic. All that gain is more for dynamic mics like the Shure SM7b (podcast/radio mic).

I had the gain set too high at first (when using a dynamic microphone). Once I realized, we reduced the gain at 37:35.
How would the dpa 4017b benefit from the extra gain in the mixpre 10ii vs the mixpre 6ii ?
