    I initially booked the seat upfront because of the discussion in J Class when you get slightly more room upfront. Changing it now thanks to your video.

    Air Canada does not have an a380 (that is a double decker jumbo), when you explained the washroom part. One of the boeing 777-300er layouts has a washroom in the premium economy section, this is the most used layout. The 787 also has this on a 2-3-2 configuration but the seats a .5" smaller. I believe you flew the 777-200er, which does not have the washroom in the premium section. The 787 is actually smaller than the plane you flew on.

      Thanks! We made a mistake and meant to say the Dreamliner 787. I didn't catch that we said that. Cheers.

      Excellent! Have a great time! Yes, the extra money is worth it, if you have it in the budget.

    Thank you for sharing your experience - This has been super helpful! I am seriously considering flying the exact same flight to Athens next July from Dallas, Texas (so an additional 3-4 hrs of flying).
    What time of year did you go to Athens? Asking because lately I’ve been seeing prices be $1800 RT on regular economy and $2800 RT on premium….. if it was an extra $300 or even $500 it would be a no-brainer, however I’m really trying to decide if it’s worth the extra $1,000USD for that journey. What would you recommend considering the in-flight experience and that type of price difference?

    Love to find out your content🥰. Just one little piece of advice, please consider blurring other passengers faces as many passengers like me may not be ready to be featured on TH-cam or leave traces in this way on the internet.

    How would you rate the way it sleeps, I want to take a trip from Montreal to Singapore, and well since its over 20hr flight I was thinking booking business, but want to hear your imput on if sleeping would be good on the Prem Eco?

    • @ThePlanetD
      @ThePlanetD  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is much better than coach, but the seats don't go back too far. If you can book a window seat, you will have the window to lean on. I have slept well on it, but it's not like business class. However, we have slept well on premium economy to China and felt quite comfortable. For the price, it is a nice upgrade as if you are flying on the Airbus, you have a separate bathroom, better food, less people in the cabin (it's quieter) and there is more room.

    It's 2-4-2 because it's a wider plane. The A330 and 787 have 2-3-2.

    • @robertstamers5099
      @robertstamers5099 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      2-4-2 is standard for the 777 in Premium Economy. Air France, American, Swiss, Japan Airlines, British Airways, etc …. all the same.
      They are so mis-informed, I stopped watching. Probably lots of further inaccuracies not worth the effort to watch.

    Which washrooms were you allowed to use? I have read articles that premium economy had to use the economy washrooms at the rear of the plane. Thanks

    • @ThePlanetD
      @ThePlanetD  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, The 777 Air Canada makes you go to the back. But we just walked through the curtain to business as the toilets were right there and nobody noticed.

      @@ThePlanetD People noticed. Nobody cared.

    • @ThePlanetD
      @ThePlanetD  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I should say it was the flight attendant that didn't notice. Nobody in business class noticed because it was the washroom that was behind them between our two classes.

      @@ThePlanetD And those were the ones you were actually expected to use. Did you believe you were expected to hold it in for the whole flight because no restrooms were placed in the middle of your seating area? Or that you should walk to the tail for relief? Different airlines have differing rules I'm sure. But what makes sense to you is often correct.
