My heart keeps melting for these kids. I still wish we knew what KB’s accident was and what her cybernetics really help her with, but seeing how she fights through her disability is so inspiring. And her friendship with Fern is beautiful.
It’s at the base of her spine, so it not only lets her move, it keeps her autonomic nervous system running. As in, her heart and lungs. “Total system shutdown” as she put it.
It's a matter of time before she gets her own film. Or at least until she gets announced as a director of her own film, only for it to be scrapped later on like all the other directors.
I think this is the kind of production that George Lucas wanted Disney to do when he sold his franchise to Disney. It's excellent, Bryce is very good at bringing out the emotions in the characters, the scene with KB reminded me of me helping my mother, it's realistic, the background is excellent too. 8.5/10, no joke
KB is still mostly human. It's just that she needs the interface to still have control of her now non-autonomous body functions, like the use of her limbs, which apparently happened from her accident and/or injury from it.
I liked KB potrayal of disabilities with her augmentations and how not everyone can see your limitations i felt bad for her. Wim got his jedi knight moment which was nice saving KB❤
The other way of looking at it is that Fern treats her exactly the same as she did before her accident because she doesn’t want her to feel any different. So her heart is in the right place, but she isn’t the same.
LETS KRIFFING GO!!!!! KB shined in this episode well as she is similar to Tech when it comes to their disabilities, and seeing a vulnerable side to the kids made us cheer for them even more in this show.
I love the nuance with KB's disability and how it's described: There's a lot that she can do, but also challenges. Disability depictions in popular media tend to fall on either the crippled side or the genius side so it's great to have a more balanced, realistic depiction in media for kids.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I love this episode. It's a tie with this episode and episode 4 for me as my favorites. It was so great to watch the kids learn and listen to each other without judgment and to cooperate in a crisis. The Onyx Cinder is a badass ship! 😍 Bryce Dallas Howard has done it again! This is a lot of fun and emotional. Didn't expect to cry while watching this show. 😭❤️ "Thanks, Jedi." is so sweet. Wim did want to help and he saved her life. That's a hero right there. 💜
Funny enough I said the same thing at the beginning when they were going down the chute I was like last they didn't end up in a trash compactor The more I watch this show the more I love it because its so different and fresh and what we need in Star Wars gives me Andor vibes a bit Love knowing more about Kb and what happened to her - the kids friendship is so beautiful!!!
Thanks again for a new reaction to this show. Or for that matter, any show. All other reacters still seem to be on vacation, so there will be a lot of reactions to catch up with, from What If? to Creature Commandos. That being said, I’m enjoying this series.
The secondary hull must've been either a disguise or a safety measure - likely both. Captain Rennod needed a way to enter At Attin's atmosphere without raising suspicion. Why not take on the form of some random pile of space garbage that "crashed" on the surface?
What if... SM33 was Captain Rennod and was originally part of an automated transport ship that was hit by pirates and the two we saw dead aboard the Onyx Cinder were just crew members?
Im assuming the X wings showed up because is a planet full of rich ppl and the Bankers guild there which would make it a priority for the new republic.
I love them all... what a great, cool, exciting adventure this has been. FUN for kids and cynical adult nerds like me. while i love the dark stuff like the Prequels and Andors, THIS is what George meant star wars to remain... just damn good fun!
When they showed the flashback to Smee saying ng not to push the button, I knew it was happening this episode. And I figured it just stripped away the extra armour the old captain had added. He mentioned it in the recording last week.
1. Happy New Year, guys! 2. Here's to a prosperous 2025! 🍷 3. Bryce Dallas Howard NEEDS to direct a Star Wars movie of her own. Like, seriously, what are we doing here, Lucasfilm??? Regarding the episode, it was fun. I liked the dynamic between the kids, as well as the emotional depth given to KB and Fern. Wim is coming around as a character after the previous episode, and Neel is the GOAT. The stuff with Jod is continuing to be intriguing, where he might be/might not be telling the truth about the At Attin treasure. Guess we'll have to wait and see. 2 more episodes to go, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things wrap up.
Jod is an absolute scum bag, but I actually get where he’s coming from. He’s sick of pirating and wants to not just live a good life but one where he would never go hungry again, both literally and metaphorically.
I am so hoping after episode 7 they change series finale to season finale like they did with Ahsoka because this is the fun Star Wars that has been absent for so long……
This is such a fun family show. My kids haven’t watched the films, but they’re having a blast with this. Adults can enjoy it too. Not everything has to be Andor. Just write good shows. Oh, and KB is like Lobot from ESB.
Had Wem and KB gone to climb, what would have happened with them when KB froze up? And had Fern and Neel gone with Wem and KB, no one would have been around to rescue them.
I will be surprised if this show does not end with Pirates sort of defeated and a huge shadow of the Chimaera flies over them. Thrawn could definitely need a mint...
Good episode, with an exception. The mechanized ‘recycler’ would have absolutely destroyed the kids’ ship. Not sure why they exaggerated that scene, was too silly. And the ship sheds its skin, so what???? The ship would still have massive holes in it from where the recycler was ripping into it. Again, enjoyed the episode, but that scene was poorly done. Also, a giant crab. LFL continues to be so creatively bankrupt that they can’t come up with new aliens. Cats, wolves, owls, now crabs. Come on, LFL, you can do better.
Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉

Happy New year may the force me with yall.
Weird reference... The Security Droids in Ep. 6 of Mando . Look and act like the Security Droids on AT- ATTEN. I'm talking in the prison.

i find it interesting the closer to death she was the more her emotions showed, but as soon as she was fixed bam it was back to her usual self.
@@alexdavis-mann8513 her getting all choked up as she hugged Fern was pretty emotional.
Bryce Dallas Howard never lets me down! Her episode, directing in all of the Star Wars Disney+ series are always my favorites
It's a matter of time before she gets her own film.
Or at least until she gets announced as a director of her own film, only for it to be scrapped later on like all the other directors.

Onyx Cinder shedding its hull would make the "new" ship it's skeleton .... Skeleton Crew
I love the idea of a ship blowing off the outer hull but it does mean less armour
BINGO!
also means they going to bring out a new lego set lol
@@alexdavis-mann8513 another BINGO!
Or you know….. the dead bodies still inside the ship….

I really think How clever was use Wim to help KB, so the same time both character have a interesting development.
LETS KRIFFING GO!!!!!

Dude is hitting all the ol school references... Lol😂
References are a second language to me. - Robert
Second season needs to be the further adventures of KB and Neel.
It was pretty cool When the ship escaped by releasing its outer shell.
And somehow all the massive holes caused by the mechanized recycler just disappeared!! Disney magic.
Funny enough I said the same thing at the beginning when they were going down the chute I was like last they didn't end up in a trash compactor

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of Johnny 5's repair by Fred in Short Circuit 2 there :D
I love the idea of a ship being able to blow off the outer hull but it does mean less armour and loss of some of the engines.
And a couple of turrets.
"There go the goddamn brownies"
🤣👍
At-Aspen is great this time of year. 😉👍
🤣🤣🤣
Mmm, California. Beautiful.

You /never/ say never to split the party. You always do say that "This party's over!"

The Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and Kidnapped of our time. I love Skeleton Crew.
Maybe people will find this annoying, but I love how friendly or scary or dangerous or innocuous SM33 needs to be in any given episode or scene 😅😂
Oh snap! Not Rob taking it back to Small Wonder! That slightly predates ALF even! Ha😅
When they showed the flashback to Smee saying ng not to push the button, I knew it was happening this episode.

It shed it's skin and left its SKELETON!

9:09 now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time
Fun episode. Enjoyed the reaction
The Mass Effect nod was nice. This series (this episode particularly) has spot on disability representation.
Jod is an absolute scum bag, but I actually get where he’s coming from. He’s sick of pirating and wants to not just live a good life but one where he would never go hungry again, both literally and metaphorically.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤

YES, thanks for being the only ones reacting right now.

Oh, and KB is like Lobot from ESB.
That is a clever shirt Vanessa is wearing.
Yeah, baby!

What's it about?
@thealjohnsonshow2188
Mike Myers plays Austin Powers.
Michael Myers is the killer dude in Halloween.
Had Wem and KB gone to climb, what would have happened with them when KB froze up? And had Fern and Neel gone with Wem and KB, no one would have been around to rescue them.
Meet the new ship! Same as the old ship!
I love kb😢❤
Can I interest you in a time share on At Attin....?
🤣
I will be surprised if this show does not end with Pirates sort of defeated and a huge shadow of the Chimaera flies over them. Thrawn could definitely need a mint...
Jedi fallen order fans... this may look sorta familiar
