Thanks for this video - I have a website that offers different services and for each service I have its own thank-you page. Is there any way that I can track when a lead conversion happened for a specific service or do I have to use only the general event lead? - Thanks so much!
Unfortunately, you'll need to use the same lead event for all your different services. But if you know your average lead value per service you could pass a different value for certain services.
It tells me to install the "track event pixel code" for speciifcs when setting up my AD. So for instance I'm trying to finish an AD with purchase tracking and is giving me code to put in my shopify but unsure where to put it. Thanks!
This was super helpful. But, the big but, I run an eCommerce wooCommerce and there have been even set up for cart, email, buying etc which total more than the allowed 8. I'm trying to delete some and cannot find them. I did not set up the sight originally, so I'm chasing my tail a bit. Can you recommend a video I could watch that would walk me through please
Big thanks. Its amazing, been emailing facebook support back and forth for 2 weeks now and still the problem with pixel was not solved even after I sent them a video. Problem got solved within 5 minutes after watching this video. Would gladly donate to this channel as a thanks, just say the word. 👍✔
Hi, hope you are doing well I had a bussiness manager in which i set up my aggregated events and verified my domain there. It got disabled. Facebook didn't allow me to remove domains from my disabled bussiness manager so i assign a partner and assign the domain to a new business manager. In new business manager pixel see that domain now but facebook says you cannot edit events as it owns by another bussiness. I also cannot run ads as in adset creation it says no events set up on any domain. Little help would be nice.
Thanks man, a very clear tutorial indeed! If I understand correctly now, all we have to do to keep tracking events on our landingpages (pageview, add to cart etc.) is to add these events manually to the pixel in facebook's new 'events manager'. Will this also solve the problem of actually tracking user data from IOS14 devices and retargeting IOS14 users through facebook-ads? For example when you track a pageview coming from an IOS device and you want to retarget that specific user through facebook? Can you still do that with this update? Hope the question is clear, great video btw!
Great question! So it depends on how you're tracking your users. There's two main ways of tracking your users with Facebook... Number 1: via the browser (using the FB pixel). Number 2: by using server side tracking. If you're simply using the Facebook Pixel ONLY to track your users there's a high chance that your traffic using an IOS device or any ad blockers won't get tracked at 100%. This is why I use both browser & server side tracking and Facebook has a deduplication system (so I know my events are not being tracked twice). So aggregated event measurement simply allows you to track users for these specific events but it needs to receive the data using one of the two methods I mentioned or both of them.
@@VertexMarketingAgency Great, tnx man! Do you know an explainer video that explains how to do the second way (using server side tracking?) I recon you do need both ways these days to really get valuable tracking.
@@thebackbeatbrothers2247 server side tracking is really complex, technical and the way you collect the data will be different for each website... So you would need the help of a web developer and a technical marketer to implement SS tracking.
At the end of the day, a purchase is a purchase so it will only require you to use the purchase event. What will change is the purchase value and what triggers the purchase since you have different thank-you pages. I recommend you check my video here: th-cam.com/video/fvTejMup7jI/w-d-xo.html
The ad set is where you pick your conversion event so it's totally normal if you see it in the ad set level. I'm not sure I understand your question...🤔
Are the events that you set up under the new ios14 guidelines, just for conversion tracking when you create ads? Or is there a connection to setting up your pixels using these event tags?
What do we do when fb won't verify the pixel? I've verified it's installed and attempted to get assistance from BigCommerce support and my host support. Just not sure where to go from here.
After domain verification and setting aggregated events is there any change required on adset level?? Because after these settings getting same error Thanks in advance
Make sure that your data sharing settings are set to "MAXIMUM" in your Shopify store. Once that's done, go through the purchase process to send the data to Facebook (pageview, add to cart, purchase). Wait for 24 to 48 hours and your events should now show up. If it still doesn't work, I recommend you join our free Facebook group and you'll be able to post your problem and attach screenshots or a video. It's a bit hard to troubleshoot a pixel problem in the youtube comments aha :) Here's the link: facebook.com/groups/741824386438842
I am getting a message to choose a new domain under action delivery but from what I can tell, I have chosen the correct domain. But still the same message so.... what am I missing?
It's a bit hard for me to diagnose the problem without any screenshots or videos. If you join my FB group here: facebook.com/groups/741824386438842 you'll be able to add screenshots or a video to your questions and I'll be able to help you there :)
hey, I installed the pixel through Shopify, but after 3 days I have a pixel error on Facebook: "Purchase Event Missing Some Deduplication Parameters", can you explain how to solve it?
That's probably because you're sending the same event to the pixel twice with no event ID. So you'll want to make sure you're sending the purchase event only once or if you want to send it twice you'll need to add an event ID to the event.
Hi, can help me to understand this? Facebook contact me saying I have 16 websites using my pixel. After I check I can see the website that using my pixel showing up my Shopify dashboard and inside my Facebook business manager, there copy my Facebook page and are sending my traffic from my URL to their website, Shopify doesn't know how to fix this. even though I block the domain on Facebook they are still able to redirect my traffic to their website. Can someone tell me how to change my pixel or should I change my store domain I have no idea how to fix this problem. Shopify has never seen anything like this before so they don't know what to do? Facebook close down the ones I was able to find but there have multiple URLS. Thanks for any help I can get.
It sounds like this is not a problem with Shopify or Facebook... You might want to talk to the company in charge of your domain (example: Godaddy). Or take a look at your theme code or plugins you have installed to see if someone wrote a rule to redirect your traffic (best to work with your developer).
Good job Sir. I love ur teachings... Very Easy to Understand. Thanks alot
Thanks Ann!
Great tutorial indeed. thanks for sharing this valuable info. need more tutorials about tag manager and aggregated events
Hi Nisal, thanks for the feedback and the recommendation. I'll make it my next video :)
@Alvaro Leonard Happy to hear that!
Thank you! This was super helpful :)
Very helpful thank you
Great video and explanation thank you!!
Thanks, Jesus!
Great video! Thanks 😊
My pleasure!
Good video. If you choose upload html file you can verify your domain instantly.
Yes, that's right!
how can we connect from mobile app instead of web site? is that possible?

Glad it helped!

Hi Bery, no need to delete them. Just don't add them as part of the 8 events you want to track :)

Thanks bro.
For we that have different thank you pages for different products, how do we keep track with this 8 events only?

This video is not loading for me. You may want to check it out.
The conversion event is showing up in the AD SET section, what can I do in this case ?
The ad set is where you pick your conversion event so it's totally normal if you see it in the ad set level. I'm not sure I understand your question...🤔
I still get the conversion event message
Did you wait the 72 hour period?
Are the events that you set up under the new ios14 guidelines, just for conversion tracking when you create ads? Or is there a connection to setting up your pixels using these event tags?
It's just to tell Facebook what events you want to prioritize.
What do we do when fb won't verify the pixel? I've verified it's installed and attempted to get assistance from BigCommerce support and my host support. Just not sure where to go from here.
Do you mean verify the domain? Because you can’t verify a pixel. Did you watch my video on how to verify your domain?
After domain verification and setting aggregated events is there any change required on adset level??
Because after these settings getting same error
Thanks in advance
If you did those two things you should be good to go :)
i installed my pixel using shopify directly , but when i try to add events it shows just view content , i can't add the other events
