The vocals in the chorus are so powerful, and with the drum beat...gaaawddd it’s such a powerful chorus!! I also love the lyrics, they take me back to high school, so much pining. Makes me feel young and passionate!!!
Dude this song uses odd time signatures and chromatic chord progressions. It's so cool to hear this level of complexity in a pop song. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about basically this song uses trippy songwriting techniques.

@@spionsilver9626 No it's not that, Carly Rae Jepsen said in a recent interview that she doesn't want to be famous like that because she likes her privacy and when Carly got famous from Call Me Maybe 8 years ago, she didn't like it because that became the only song people identified her with so she chose to take a break from music to persue acting for a few years and then came back with an album that didn't have as much publicity as her last album and then that's when Carly felt more comfortable about making her music because that's what she prefers to do instead of only being remembered because of the popularity of a song that she didn't like because of all of the negative attention she got in the past because of it.
@@jerelminter you are right about her low public profile/appearance being her own choice .. as there are a lot of bad side effects to popularity these days that has nothing to do with the quality of her music ( at least in my opinion ) which is pretty underappreciated/underrated by radiostations and online platforms in Europe you will only hear 2 of her songs on any radio station .. which sucks badly as her tunes are so damn versatile and listenable
Probably the best pop album this year. Its just as good as Emotion imo. Sure it doesn't have those massive highs (Run Away With Me, Making the Most of the Night, All That) but its more cohesive. Emotion kinda loses me towards the end.
Mayday Dedicated has a more distinctive sound to it. Each song sounds the same in production but very different vocally. It’s an amazing album from track 1 to 15
