most cars are responding that way to absorve crash energy, my neighbour impacted a small brasilian chevrolet chevette with his audi a4. The audi ended up in pieces but he survived and the 73 chevette didnt had a scratch but the driver ended up in a coma. here in chile geely are a 6000 units sold success.
@madhatter0110 The VAT is applied to ALL goods (and services), irrespective of origin. Thus it does not stifle any specific goods from any specific place. Works the same in all EU countries, altough the VAT varies.
We doesn't need a good or bad car, if you kind to everyone, they will want with you whatever is your car, Geely, or 1950's car, don't hate everything you see, proud to everyone that's success make a car.
i think you mean absorb crash energy. i understand what you are saying, crumple zones and all that but cars should be equal strength, otherwise when a stronger 1 hits the weaker 1 ''geely'' then the geelys cabin is crushed and then nasty thing happen. all cars should be equal. safer i think
My god. Thats a brand new car and look at the gaps in the plastic work. When he puts key in to turn to ACC, the back of the steering wheel just looks chucked there
@madhatter0110 This commenting system is infuriating, why can't we have an edit button? It should say that the Mercedes weighs 300kg more of course. It's got more power power and torque than a Prius too, despite costing almost the same amount of money.
@madhatter0110 You are correct of course, the Prius is an innovation, albeit a rather modest one. It is after all just a car with a bunch of batteries. And it doesnt get great fuel mileage, ~5-6l/100km, modern diesel cars these days (MB C220 CDI BE for example) do below 5l/100km (despite the MB weighing 300kg). The Honda FCX, now there's an innovation. I already mentioned that the chinese needs original design, i.e. what HyundaiKIA have already achieved, along with increased safety.
Drove this the other day, steering feels numb and indirect, suspension was average, the wind from outside is intrusive to the cabin, engine isn't much powerful, clunky gearbox but cheap repair fees.
chery are very bad in crash tests the passengers cubicule ends up old wrapped like a human flesh kabab. in this year models they improved that response though
@madhatter0110 Weirdly the socialist state have been run by conservatives for a decade... We have no import tax on cars, the VAT applies to all products irrespective of origin :)
@madhatter0110 You can get pretty far by simply imitating others. Look at Toyota. I can't think of any single invention done by that company. Their focus have all along been to look at what others do, imitate it and make their own version. Hyundai/KIA do the same, and with great results. What the chinese need to do are making original designs and persuading people that their cars are safe.
@madhatter0110 I think it's interesting that 315 669 of the "over 400 000" cars sold last year were sold in Japan... ;) Here in Sweden the Prius sold 728 units during the first eight months of 2011, ranking in 74th place out of 75 cars on the market. It sells well in Japan and the US, but nowhere else where there's diesel power available. Let's not get into how filthy the production of the Prius is compared to a standard car... ;) You might have noticed I do not like the Prius very much :D
@madhatter0110 It is also the reason the Prius sells so poorly, and the Fusion not at all outside North America. I fully agree on the chinese safety, I believe it won't be long until they start competing on basis other than simply the lowest price, and then they'll get over the "Made in China" stigma that's still affecting the car market. Won't be a good day for us, but that's the terms of the free market.
Sonam Sherpa This car cost in your country 27000 USD??? I think you are a great jocker))), because in my country this car has a price about 10 000 USD... I'm from Ukraine)
First I must thank you for going out in that weather and making this video, we don't get Geely here so we're left to videos like this to find out how they are. That said, if we're going to be honest, it's a pretty crap car. However that's just what was said about the japanese, and then the koreans, and the chineseare moving forwards at a much more rapid rate. Give them 10 years, and they'll be a real threat.
if a shotgun company bought VOLVO would it make the guns any safer? nope. there isn't any volvo in this car. i am in China and i have seen 1 in a minor crash. my shed would be better in a crash
these shitty chinese cars are horrible, they look and feel like toys mthey aren't reliable and you will be depressed after spending money on such a crap made from toilet paper like materials I'd rather buy a used 80s car than brand new this

@KatiushaVN4 He completely copied his entire routine. It seems the Chinese are excellent at being copy cats.
