Welcome to my producer series. This one is for those who are just starting out producing UK/Happy Hardcore and I felt the best place to start was with drums & percussion which form the foundations of any modern dance music track.
I've kept this as simple as I can with an aim to help give you some knowlege on the lay out at layering of drums & percussion.
I will go onto bass in the next several tutorials so don't forget to subscribe to follow on from this.

Finding the right samples can be both tricky and time consuming so i've put together some sounds I feel work well when getting started producing the genre to give you a head start in laying out basic drums & percussion in a track.

*I had the mic too low so I had to crank it up during editing as much as I could without distorting the audio. Mic setting corrected for future tutorials*

Would love to see a tutorial on how to mix and master Happy Hardcore in FL

I could use a tutorial on transitions and maybe some sound design on fx to make a track interesting and not get boring. I'm use to producing trance, but the same thought process should work for both genres right? Also been digging through your channel recently, liking alot of your tracks, keep it up!

Very good tutorial! Helped me a lot. Btw a tipp for next time, make the mic louder, it's a bit quiet compared to the DAW :D
Thanks, I realised after I recorded it was too low but i have the setting saved now so hopefully it ill be ok next time. I couldn't bring myself to start again so I cranked it up as much as i could when editing! thanks for the feedback :)

Fantastic tutorial, Jakka-B! I've been watching SeamlessR's tutorials for a long time now, but there have been very few tutorials for getting started in the hardcore genre, especially using FL Studio 12/20 itself. Please, please, PLEASE keep 'em coming!
Seamless is the dude for FL! ha, will def keep them coming, next up is on bass which will take several episodes I think

Uhm where is your status bar that is usually placed in the top left corner and shows all the information?
Suprised when you roll off the lows you dont use the low pass filter on parametric eq, just rolling it off with a shelf you still get bleed coming through
when you started the track how did make it do the loop setting

All I've got from this tutorial is that if I don't pay or own any samples then I'm going to have a really hard time making things sound decent.

Good to hear you've picked up a few bits. Zoom in & out is CNTRL & +/- (I Think) Copy & Paste is CNTRL & C (Copy) & CNTRL & V (Paste)

when it comes to kicks Just UK & HHC man, i've ever attempted a gabber track as of yet
@@JakkaB 'yet' ;) been wanting to learn how produce for a while now mostly gabber. I'm from Ireland so it's not popular here atall and there's very little tutorials about it

Do you know what Darren Styles use for his signature snappy kicks? Is it a VST or a sample from a sample pack?
If it’s from a sample pack could you tell me which pack and what the name of the sample is?
