I appreciate you giving Carr “his flowers.” Almost all media outlets are talking about the scheme/Kubiak, guys being open, no pressure, etc. Carr deserves credit for much of what’s going on.
Now you guys know why so many Raider fans came to the Saints with Derek Carr. We have known for years what DC4 can do. It's too bad that so many Saints fans couldn't see that Peter Carmichael was the problem last year. Instead, Saints fans were ready to pin everything on Carr and run him out of town. I'm sure glad that the whole world can see what Carr can do in the right scheme and with a strong cast.
Congrats on your win Sunday! I always thought Carr was a good QB on a mediocre team for the most part, and that he got a lot of grief for poor team play. Funny how most fans forget football is a TEAM sport not an individual sport. Saints fans at this point are just beginning to realize just how good Carr really is with a good team around him. Good luck for the rest of the season with the exception of the Saints v Raiders!
You are absolutely correct! The issue has never been DC4, but the Raiders were just a very badly run team from the ownership thru the turnstile of HC's and OC's nearly every year. Even last year in NO was a joke with PC as the OC who didn't even want the job. It pissed off how many Saints fans turned on DC4 so quickly calling for Winston to be the Starting QB. What a joke. Even this spring with all the Rattler idiots who thought he should be the starter. It was just a total disrespect for Carr with so many so called fans.
I'm really glad Carr is finally getting credit for being a really good QB. I even think he has the ability to be the MVP if things do go well for him and the team the rest of this season. It's still early, but a great start! 😊

I heard more fans in the dome criticizing play calling(PC) and Dennis Allen more than Carr. I’ve always been an DA fan because he’s maintained a top 10 defense the past 5 years. It was obvious watching last year, play calling was the issue

Blows my mind how every facet of our team is playing exceptionally. Carr, defense, run game, WRs, Trevor penning, grupe, foster. It’s insane the impact kubiak has already had. Watching saints football is fun again
Carr was one of the best QB’s the last 5 games of the season last year. He picked up where he left off.
Remember the Saints were 4-1 in those games and Carr threw 14 TDS in those 5 games.
The Saints haven't even started firing on all cylinders, yet! DC4, best deep ball thrower in the league. Many dimes a comin'. Olave's about to explode!

We’ve moved on to week 3.. we started 2-0 last year.
Yeah, but that was obviously much different. Saints had no run game at all and relied on low % deep pass plays (that Carr connected on bc he's a great deep passer), which didn't end up working once teams took away the deep ball.
Now they're using the deep ball as a compliment to a strong run game. Being able to stop both at the same time is extremely difficult. As we saw vs Dallas, Carr can even beat cover 2 with deep passes....which cover 2 was designed to stop.

Do you think that this is sustainable? Although he is a good defensive coordinator, Allen,at best, is an average HC.Can the Saints sustain what they have done in the first 2 games? I don't expect 40 points a game,but can the offense and O line continue to play this well?
