It's the first time i hear this song but i still got that feeling ( it's melancholy) but it's cause by Nostalgia. You think about all the good anime you've watch and the feelings you were getting back then, so it make you kind of sad that they are long gone now, but you still happy to have lived them. (GTO is the one anime that brings this feelings the most for me ) and it's funny that i was thinking about the exact same feeling... and they say that we are different and can't understand each other... well, not in this case at least, it always good to know that you are not alone.
@@teecakes 25, actually. It was originally supposed to have two seasons of 26 episodes each, but Squenix cut things short due to low ratings, which is why the final episode has much better animation that those previous.
I never saw that anime, but I stumbled onto this song so, SO long ago, on a Final Fantasy fan site. I just knew it had to do with an anime called Final Fantasy Unlimited and as an FF fan I DLed it ... and instantly fell in love with it, without even knowing anything of the lyrics. Just this song. And then, after changing my computer several times since then, I lost it. I thought about it from time to time and heard FFU got cancelled and that another FFU had started (with the same name ? How silly was I ...). Minutes ago I though about that song again, hell knows why ... and searched for the opening, not knowing it was NOT the opening of a cancelled anime but the ending of an uncancelled one (well, I guess it got cancelled but later than I first thought xD). And here it finally is, after all these years ... that rush of emotions when I heard this guitar riff ... I'll never lose sight of this song again, and I'll finally probably have a look at that anime after all, now that I've got the chance ! Just ... thank you for letting me find it again.

lol I'm so glad I got introduced to this song. Never played FF Unlimited, but instead found this song via a flash animation about stealing Ramen.
FF Unlimited is an anime, not a game you can play. You'd be able to watch the entire series in about 3 hours, it's only 5 episodes long IIRC

In fact FFU hasnt been cancelled but shortened, and the end of the story has apprently been released in Japan as Light Novels.
