Love this song. It is an anthem to our inner child. And this energy is absolutely perfect. Because this is not a song about losing the inner child. Something only truly dies when they are forgotten. And this song reminds us to never forget.
There is a dissonance between the bursting, inspired, shining world within the heart that remains a child that is portrayed by the melody and the lyrics' narrative of the depressing, responsibility-laden, struggling and dull reality in which an adult's happiness is strangled living daily life. Such a contrast represents the very pathos of those of this era who continued to dream but failed to reach the ideal place in their lives where it is manifest. Animelo 2008 day 2 opening, this fucking song
@@xyanide1986 thanks for reminding me of this song 5 years later actually holy shit I forgot about it
They're just possibly not really famous outside of Japan, but it'd be great to see them in concerts, I know I'd go see that concert myself, there are also plenty of good Japanese bands but we just don't know about them outside of Japan despite how good they can be and have a lot of potential for the international scene...

Seriously, I read somewhere this album's subtitle literally translates to "Waste of talent".
Makes soo much sense
I can’t read all the kanji there, but I recognize 才能 (talent) and 無 which can be used as a prefix in a compound word to make it negative, so yeah, it is “waste of talent”
EDIT: looked it up, the full sentence is 「才能の無駄遣い」(sainou no mudazukai) which is indeed just “waste of talent.”
才能 = talent, の = possessive particle, 無駄遣い = (a) waste.
Dear Diary:
Today I tried looking up the word "epic" in the dictionary, and I was blasted in the face by this song.
