I am very happy with this printer. Although I will warn you that laser printers and ink jet printers are entirely different beasts. So I don't really see them as comparable. It really depends on WHAT sorts of things you print to choose between those two things.
I have not had to put more ink into this machine yet. I doubt I will try generic inks though. I used to try generic cartridges for older epson printer and was not happy with the results back then. But I might do a Q&A video about these tank printers in the future and could ask people if they've tried generic inks in here.
Hi, super cool products you have! How about the printer update? How is it going now? I hear so much bad things about these Epson printers that it scares me to buy one.
Thank you! Yes... I've been meaning to do a follow up video. I plan to soon. But the quick answer is that I am still happy with my purchase (and still printing with the first bottles of ink I put into it).
@@GreenlifeFin I have not had that happen to me yet. I did contact Epson when I bought this printer and asked about that specifically and they assured me I can purchase a new waste tray/sponge to get up and working again. I did find that product on their site for sale and confirmed that the tray is indeed on the back of my machine (although it has a screw holding it closed). To tell the truth, I was spending so much money on ink cartridges for my older epson, even if this tank printer broke today (knock on wood), I could consider this machine a money saver from buying that expensive ink.
It's encouraging to see that you're still happy with your printer! My big question is what happens if moisture gets on your prints? Does the ink run or smear? I homeschool and one of my kiddos has requested I print their course books this next year for multiple sensory reasons. I currently have a laser printer but the coloring struggles has me looking at this ink jet. However, said kiddo also considers all of their printed items to be Gollum level PRECIOUS and so I wonder if a sweaty/freshly washed palm coming to write on the page, a drop of water from a water bottle pressure release spray, or heaven forbid the baby dribble on it would ruin the printing? 😅 I'm picturing a water color style mess and the potential end of their world, but maybe you can provide some experienced insight for me? 😇 Thanks 🙏
In my experience, documents printed at home (laser or ink jet) ARE NOT going to be safe from water like you're describing here. But perhaps with a eco-tank printer like I reviewed here, you can feel less precious with the output and re-print a document if something gets messy. I didn't used to think that way when I was buying ink cartridges because those cartridges are so expensive. But these tank printers seem to be very economical. I am only about 1/2 way through my ink since posting my original review and I print a LOT. If you have documents that you MUST protect at all costs, you might consider spraying them with a matte or glossy varnish. (Although I don't know if those finishes are kid safe if a child decided to chew on it, so fair warning there.) Hope this info helps!
Everything is fine... been super busy with corporate design work. I have been busy on some premium paper craft projects though since my book is almost sold out.
Because I do this for fun in my free time all by myself. So when I get busy with client work, it's hard to find time to make paper craft and videos - I need to sleep 😴 @@prabhjotkaurbawa ♥
I can't share Iron Man because that was a collaboration through MARVEL. It was a promotion done through comic shops a few years ago. It really does require pro printing though, so a DIY printable would not work great anyway. Thanks for asking though.
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't often do prop style paper craft. I did the GHOST SHIP for Star Wars Rebels for a Lucasfilm paper craft years ago which was fun. If I were to craft a lightsaber hilt, I would probably want to make it out of layered cardboard so it has some strength so you can really grip it. :)
Kooky your videos are so cool can you make a pillager from minecraft?
Pls kooky😢😢😢😢😢
Maybe some day... I'm working on a lot of other original characters right now for a new project coming soon. :)
ok
But you said maybe so who knows if your going to make it also I wonder what project is next?
Fun as always! Thnx!!
THANK YOU!
Can you do SpongeBob SquarePants characters in paper next? pls
I've been thinking about doing SpongeBob some day. But he's tough because of his skinny limbs. So not sure how to do it yet.
@@KookyCraftablesthank you
Do you also have plans on doing Master splinter shredder and the foot clan as well???😊😊😊❤
I do think I would like to add some of the villains in the future. But have some other secret plans in the works for the moment!
do you still like you printer? Trying to decide between that or a laser.

Thanks for sharing, have you tried using "generic inks" to refill your printer, are they any good?

A lightsaber where you can dittach and attach the Cristal
See my other answer, but yeah, if I ever made one... having a crystal in it would be a great idea.

Bowser papercraft please
Maybe? I designed it. But have not made the video.
Yaaay
And one more thing you use glossy paper
I definitely use uncoated paper for my paper craft work. It is highly recommended for easier gluing.
