she looks like a beautiful vampire lawyer
corporate goth is an actual thing
she still wears goth costumes and hairstyle
😂
@@garycoates4987 there’s also “Fashion Corporate Goth”, which is a lot of Thom Browne and Ann Demeulemeester blazers.
Beautiful Vampire Barrister, technically. (She's English)
She's at the height of her powers here. I love how she looks, this is a brilliant song from a brilliant album.
Makeup looks so awesome. Also nice to see her brother and Del still there even though she is miming
I love how this guy from the video just randomly shows up in the end, does their little dance and then runs offstage again 🤣
The lyrics are very powerful. The idea of hounds of love is a very old one. Mystical. The entire album has many layers of meaning.
Congratulations Kate, Hounds of Love is in the American top 10 albums almost 40 years after its release. Your star has only grown larger as time has passed. Your contemporaries like Madonna do not have great, innovative music to fall back on, so she is trying her best to say in the public eye on TikTok, Instagram or whatever else she can dream up.
Sorry I like Kate - she made some quirky albums with the occasional hit. Madonna, while much less talented, surrounded herself with great artists, who allowed her to have hits in different decades with memorable music - even if more commercial.
Please, Madonna has so many classic songs. Kate is amazing no need to put Madonna down to praise her. Madonna songs are still played on the radio all around the world and her last album Madame X hit number one in the US without the help of a Netflix show
@@danielhennessey4282 Kate has written every track on every one of her albums without the help of any writing partner. Madonna could do nothing without the producers, ghost writers and musicians giving her all the material for her career. It's hardly fair to compare the success of an innovative songwriter, musician and singer whose songwriting talent stands independent of any musicians or producers with a manufactured product like Madonna.
Ok this is the first time I’ve ever heard this song. How? Why? So good. I feel like Florence and the Machine was inspired by her
cuz she was
Tori Amos anyone??
Pienso igual. Veo la influencia potente en Florence and the Machine. Me atrevería a agregar a Björk también.
@@dennispobletemorales2651 All of the later female pop artists of the 1990s were influenced by Kate. She was hard to escape.
every female artist
The dancer who comes on at the end is also the guy from the Hounds of Love video. I don't know who he is, but he looks really cool. Like a 1930's star.
I bought "Hounds of Love" JUST to get "Running up the Hill". What really got me was how well that side of the album is! I liked most of the songs and one that really got me was "Cloudbusting". That video should have been SHOWERED with awards. I was blown away that Donald Sutherland did it (FOR FREE! Kate went to his hotel room IN PERSON to ask him. He agreed, but could not get a work visa for it, so he didn't charge her! WHAT a CLASS ACT! Makes me love that video/song even more!) And it is just fan-f**king-tastic that Kate's great "Running up that Hill" has hit number one in SOOO many countries! Too bad it only got to 4 here in the USA... but still... Great job Kate and the Duffers from "Stranger Things"
As good as side 1 is, side 2 is beyond. It’s out of this world.
Side 2 > side 1
I was an 7-year old growing up in HK when I saw this performance. And I was spellbound!
I know she’s lip syncing but it’s still great to see her up there in all her glory with the drums, cellos, and that CS-80. One of my favorite songs from her. Beautiful moment in time.
YES
Never seen this before, and I was 26 living in UK at the time. Stunning talent, and she looks a million $$$!
She is singing live, only the back vocals are pre recorded
No lip-sync ever at the Brits...
@@hristosvadras4126 it's lip synched. I know every vocal nuance of the original recording and it's identical.
Incredible woman. Incredible artist. A genre all unto herself. Love love love.
she looks so different (and stunning) in this goth style makeup, omg
This album redefined her.
An amazing song ,no treble alto , no lead instrument , so hauntingly genius
I actually remember seeing this live on TV when it aired. I was around 11 and I found her to be simply amazing. At 48 now, i still absolutely adore KB.
I can remember being blown away by this performance. Christ her eyes! stunning.
Yes, breathtakingly beautiful
Wow. she looks amazing. She sounds amazing. the men who are playing behind her are just gorgeous.
How good would it have been to see a real live performance from her at the height of her powers? She really should've made that happen
A bit of a waste of a great opportunity really
how can one person be so talented and beautiful??
Kate always adds something extra to the performance
I hadn’t seen this before. Thanks! The cellist with the beard and hat is her brother, Paddy.
Day Brightener. That little dance at the end made me beam with happiness. Kate is first and foremost an entertainer. She is there to lighten your heart. Aces.
THE HOUNDS OF KATE BUSH ARE HUNTING ME
❤️✨

I remember that year very well. Annie Lennox beat her for the Best British female award. I somehow thought at the time Annie had said that she expected Kate to win the award. However, I am not sure if I read that back then somewhere as its not in her acceptance speech.
Such an oddly restrained performance from her, she is usually so dynamic and emotive.
I think it's because the BRITS were a lot more of a serious event style thing.
She is so fantastic 🥰❤️
Sheer class.
Idole
I remember when I watched this show in tv, was a Sunday, that left me speechless and fan of her art forever.
Great performance by Kate Bush! Her work on this song is simply magic... what a powerful song!
ehm... it's playback 😐
she looks absolutely stunning!
She’s the greatest.
This is perfection pure itself
I found this album in my local grocery and library and I've been hooked ever since
It's without a doubt her masterpiece !!!... Side A : perfect romantic pop-rock music. Side B : pure genius from another world !!!! :)
SHE LOOKS INCREDIBLE
Kate Bush is everything!
These lyrics are ahead of her time

Maravilhosa!
perfeitaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Heartachingly romantic and beautiful...Kate and the song. -The Kaiser
OMG
godly
💖
Del on keyboard and not on bass wow love it
So sad at that time lipsync was a rule in TV, it's difficult to find real live performances
listen to Before The Dawn :)
it still is, I think
Queen of Goth
Her brother, Paddy Bush was is on the left. He’s a multi instrumentalist.
He looks like he doesn't know it's the mid 1980s.
💎💎💎♥️♥️♥️💎💎💎
Genius song, stunning Kate - and not an inch of flesh being flaunted.
Nor a song being sung.
@@darthminogue ?
Don't know where this is from, don't know who she is, but I cried at the end
блиииннн какая же она крутая
Wow the makeup, clothing and shoes are VERY early 1980's more of the 78-81 era. Surprising to see in '86.
Her brother's beard and scruffy hair are back in fashion today but literally no one had that look by 1986. He looks straight out of 1977.
Mylène Farmer (famous french singer) had the same kind of make up during her first tour in 1989
Amazing performance of my favorite KB song! Props to Nikola Tesla on keys!
This is live only in the sense that everyone on stage is breathing.
Wtf?! This is live? 😱 goddess! ❤
she's lip-syncing
not at all. only in the sense that she's present live, in person, on a stage. not a note of the music was live.
Inimitable !
❤️☑️👏
She still amazes and seduces me after 45 years, that was greatest live performance ever performed.
punk cellos ❤
❤️👋👋👋👍
Strings section is aggressively not hiding the fact they’re not actually playing their instruments. Interesting choice.
this screams 80s!
😍❤️💪👍🔝
Magnum Opus.
Kate is hot wearing GOTH
aaa yes
Mmmyes
She actually sounds flawless live!! Not many singers that don't miss a beat while being spun round in circles
Its not live lol
If only time machines were real…….
0:52 David Beckham on cello
Why isn’t this in stranger things lol
Could yet be .. Max is obv a fan
A very hard song to sing at Kareoke!! Lol!
Clearly, she's miming to the album version.
She has that affect, doesn’t she.
*effect
I agree tho
"Live"
what the heck this is the studio version
Her face look like Elisabeth Tailor
Even more so in the video for “Moments Of Pleasure”…
I've often thought she has a slight resemblance to Elizabeth Taylor.
Not one her better makeups barbra cartland
little bit of a Prince vibe in that outfit.
Hey, it was the 80s, after all!
