Hello , made this cake today …just tweaked the recipe a bit :- 3/4 th cup ragi flour & 1/4 th cup almond powder , also added chocolate chips. Recipe turned out great Thank you 🙏
I tried this cake and it turned out just awesome nobody realised that it was a Ragi cake just tasted like the normal maida cake with a lovely texture … thanks a ton for sharing such a healthy recipe with minimal ingredients 🙏🏼👍

I made it today...It was awsome..I could not wait till it got cold...and ate it with chocolate ganache when it was slightly hot...It tasted exactly like brownie...I have stored it in fridge now..Don't knw how it will taste now For ganache i just boiled half glass milk in sim for few minutes..when it got little thick, i added it on to finely chopped dark compound...It made the chocolate melt...It tasted good..I did not wanted to add cream as its an addition of calories....

Tried this cake in oven with the same recipe. I preheated the oven at 360 degrees f and baked the cAke for 25 mins. The upper crust was cracked and the base was a bit crisp. But the inner side of the cake looks spongy. Where have i gone wrong? Pls help me

Hello Ma'am, I tried this cake today. I followed the exact measurements as mentioned by you. The cake was okay but could have been better. Have a few doubts 1) The cake was a little dry. What could be the reason? I had not added ganache. Prepared only the sponge part. 2) Sweetness was lesser. Is it because of the quality of jaggery powder or any other reason?
Hi , in order to give the cake a spongy texture, along with baking soda please add a few drops of vinegar on it. Vinegar activates the soda and helps create more air. I do this whenever I bake.
Sinking of cake happens with many reasons- Liquidy batter, opening oven in middle of baking,not baked perfectly. Make your batter in perfect consistency and bake in preheated oven .

Preheat oven for 10 minutes on 180 degree celsius.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes on 180 or 350 F

Please preheat oven at 180 degree.reducing temperature will help you .
I mentioned the degrees in Fahrenheit ji. 180 c = 356 f. So I set it at 360f

You can add 1 tsp isabghol or you can also try 1 tbsp cornstarch

Followed exactly the same process as u said but the cake was very dry,crumbly and sank down.
