  • In this video I'm experimenting with feeding some different voltages into PEX, trying to "burn" the short... testing the rumor that this can be done.
    I will also try to repair the original fault.

    great job!
    When injecting voltage for short finding, always limit your voltage to around 1.5V, I saw yours spike at 3.5V so if the GPU core was not fried before, it is now 😀
    I fried one of these a few months ago the very same way, it's hard without a thermal camera😉

      Yeah it was, PEX was originally 4.5V, so core was already dead. This was just to test a rumour. The core is off the board now and waiting for a donor chip.
