Been to the castle and the old church many times, fantastic place and brill video boys. Look at Kilton Thorpe Castle just on the outskirts of Brotton. Bit of bugger to get to but an awesome place to visit although not much left now. White lady of Kilton Thorpe is rumoured to haunt the place as well ;) .

There's a medieval fish farm on the left of the road just after the castle but before the church. It shows as a shallow rectangular depression in the field at roughly 90 degrees to the road. Great video !!

I knew the previous land owner lord Ingleby who lived at Snilseworth Lodge his surname was Peak. I was unaware same as many others that there had been a former old structure in front of the castle, well done for adding this information great video and sound also as usual

Hi, how did you get in touch with the owner, my uncle said he went when he was youngee and there was a tunnel you could get in on the left side of the castle (looking from car) with a dungeon sort of thing.

there is supposed to be a tunnel from the castle to the church...but was emploded to stop the Germans using it. I wonder if its still available to see from either the castle or the church grounds.
