I’m glad to hear that!
You are the best teacher in all languages, Mr. Brian. We love you and support you forever ⚜️♥️
That's very kind, thank you!
3/4 Of people who use English in the world are not natives. Its not necessary to have advanced level of english because key is clear communication. When I started using English in practice I noticed that I was using too many strange words and I realized that I need to stop using them and simplify my way of speaking as much as I can because not everybody will understand fancy words I was using.
Well I didn't know that I'm at the Fluent level 😎
Thx teacher Brian👏🏼 a lot love sent from 🇵🇸🇵🇸 to you ♥️
Congrats! And love to 🇵🇸 as well ❤️

Native English speaker here: I took the test as I was curious to see what you regarded as must-know criteria in order to be accurately classified in the aforementioned categories. The only one I didn't get right was the question which in my opinion had more to do with knowing proper body anatomy than it did with actual knowledge of English itself (I had no idea where the hell my own femur bones were located lol!). However, I thought that the other questions, such as sentence rearrangements, determining the proper word order, plurals questions and preposition choices were more of an accurate bellwether to successfully tell people what they need to know about their own distinct levels.
P.S: I should add that many native speakers would get many of these wrong due to not knowing the proper rules behind things like contractions (your/you're), plurals such as "phenomena" or "criteria", spelling and even conjugating the more "obscure" irregular verbs out there. But great test overall, hope my feedback helps and doesn't come off as arrogant.
Thanks very much for your feedback! And yes, I think most native speakers would get 1 or 2 of these wrong... I did my best to cover a variety of different topics and means of comprehension, but some of the information is a bit technical (like the question you mentioned).
@@BrianWilesLanguages Thank you for your reply! I think you're an awesome language learner, and you always come up with interesting video ideas! Respect :)

Thank you very much, and I’m glad they liked it 👍
Great test.
Thanks!
I achieved 11/20. However, I made some terrible mistakes I should not have ever made. All in all, the test was not effortless or impossible to complete, indeed it demanded some brainstorming to be honest.
Postscript: I am self-taught. All the best for you أستاذ براين.

Great idea- I’ll look into it ✅
I answered 17/20. However, I think it wasn't so much challenging as it was a piece of cake.❤
14/20. Am I the only one who find this test easier than expected?
13/20 From Morocco 🇲🇦.
But i'm not considered myself that fluent in english.
Man, I'm really proud of myself for answering 16 questions correctly.
Fantastic work!

What to do if I have no reason to learn french but I just like speaking in it?
The fact that you like speaking it is probably more important than just about anything else in terms of long-term motivation. I would say keep finding opportunities to speak (in person or online), and make listening to French podcasts a part of your daily or weekly routine. Good luck!
Did you act in Washington : Turn ?
I did…
I’ve never heard the « catch 22 » expression before ! Where does it come from ?
That’s a very good question! It comes from the title of a famous book, “Catch 22”.
14/20
Could anyone please tell me what is the difference between beyond and behind ??
Beyond suggests that something is further away than behind 👍
12/20
By the way, does 12 mean C1 ?
There are two grammatical errors in question 12 , the second being the use of a comma instead of a semicolon to separate two independent clauses. The comma should come after the conjunction, and.
#20 Fear is normal and can be healthy. A phobia is not just fear, but an intense and irrational one.
Re: Q12- While one could use either a semi-colon or a comma to separate the clauses (both are correct here)- placing a comma after the conjunction would be an error. An (Oxford) comma could come before the final ‘and’- but this is a stylistic choice that I’ve chosen not to make.
And yes, ‘phobia’ does literally mean an intense fear- but I think ‘fear’ gets the point across.
I'm definitely non native although, I answered 18/20 😂
But for real I answered 2 of them by exclusion 😅
Thanks Brian, you are a great teacher ❤
Thanks!
I scored 17!
I got number 10 right not because i knew ghe grammar logic behind it(as I never really studied the concept in depth), but because it just sounded right to say. The other options felt weird coming out of my mouth. I guess that's thanks to my years of practising speaking English with my mom. And no, I'm definitely not a native speaker 😂. I'm also only 21
Nice, congrats!
yes, sometimes intuition can be a good way to.

What do you rank someone who fully understood your speaking\accent, but have scored average or below on the Quiz😅?
could you please tell us how to reach the Native Level? is it even possible?
At that level, it's really just a matter of practice and experience. Keep listening to native English and speaking English, and one day, you'll be there. Good luck!
18½ out of 20 🎉
I got 10/20, not bad honestly🔥.
Nice work!
15 out of 20. This test made me realize I need to go over idiomatic and slang expressions urgently lmao
Glad it was useful, and thanks for watching 👍
12/20 let's fucking go 🗿🗿😂
3:40 i don't understand question 5, why would given not work here?
Given the traffic, we would have arrived on time could be used no? In a context where we didn't take the road but had we taken it it would have been fine because the traffic wasn't as big as we initially thought
am i wrong for thinking this?
This is grammatically correct, but it’s unnatural because it suggests that traffic (as opposed to the lack of traffic) is the reason “we would have arrived on time”.
Ah much better 12/20😅
Bro i have issues with learn french and developing my english at the same time, any solution pls?
Yes, I have a video about learning two languages at once- I would recommend checking that out!
@@BrianWilesLanguages alright thx means a lot💗
Please tell how long it takes to learn Arabic language Fusha❤ (Classical Arabic) completely. It is my childhood dream to become fluent in Arabic language. Please tell me. From India
It depends on how much you study, but FusHa is certainly quite challenging. I would say you might feel comfortable after 4 years of consistent study- 3 if you work very hard. Good luck!

Great test my result is 13 😊
Congrats 👍
14/20 - wow, now i have more self-confidence. 🤣
Excellent!
I think you're mixing irony with sarcasm .
Sarcasm is a form of irony that’s meant to mock someone.
We had learnt in school that it meant something highly unexpected. for example, a pilot has a fear of heights

11/20😂
hi
👋
(16 )what is my level then?
I got 13 😂am i really fluent?
I have NEVER in my life heard that there’s an order for adjectives and I’m fluent in English it’s my native language. Is that an American thing?
Also I’ve never heard of a sentence beginning with “but not”
Most native English speakers use a general order of adjectives without consciously realizing it. Try saying those three example phrases out loud- does one sound more natural than the others?
@@BrianWilesLanguages yes! But I picked the wrong one. Never consciously thought about it before!
7/12 i think it's to bad ,,but i will do my best to improve ❤
Keep practicing- you'll get there!
I learn English as a second language and I am not native speaker but anyway i got 18/20 I think its mean.that i am.almost.fluent.maybe😂😂
I am egyptian and got 18/20
Good or bad?
👍👍
I got about 14 alright .... 😎😎
