Idk if you have if haven’t reacted to these songs by Gojira but 4 I would highly recommend are Stranded, Silvera, and Heaviest Matter of the Universe, or Lowlands. But I do have this song saved so it’s good Could you plz react to Korn (rotting in vain, freak on a leash, did my time, coming undone, or blind) plz do one of those because my uncle is actually the reason I got into Korn, he played freak on a leash, I didn’t like it the first time, went back once or twice, tried some other stuff and I began to understand it, so it would be amazing if you could do that because that’s what me and my uncle band over is music. Whatever you decide to do though, this was a great song, awesome reaction, and I’m ready for what you do next, 🤘
Cool to see it. I’m new to Gojira as of this year and if you listen to everything it is good or great in it’s own way. Remembrance, Indians and Embrace the world off the Link are awesome. But everything is as well. Have a good journey!
**This is a from Mario's Instagram page posted from September 27th, 2019 ** "From Mars to Sirius was released 14 years ago, today. Where Dragons Dwell from the album « From Mars to Sirius » is the most intense Gojira song to perform live. Especially because of the ending. This song, which speaks of confronting your own personal demons, always fascinated me with it’s demanding physical performance. The end section is a complete corporeal trance for me. With a relentless double kick pattern at 180bpm lasting from 4-9 minutes. I use all the force in my knees and thighs to generate the energy required to execute this section. The first minute of demanding thirty-second notes is hard on my body, and the following minute is when my legs start to tingle. From that point on it’s so intense that my mind starts to drift a little. With this intensity at a maximum level, sometimes the trance transports me beyond the pain. It even feels like my body is floating above the drum kit. Naturally, when the song is over and I come out of the trance, there are consequences sometimes. When we extend the part for almost 10 minutes, I’ve actually felt like I was going deaf, and even had sensations of numbness in my pelvis and legs for a few seconds after the song is over." «#drums #gojira #power #frommarstosirius #wheredragonsdwell #hellfest2013 #deathmetal #heavymetal @officialtamadrums @zildjiancompany @hellfestopenair
@@420crim3 I think he does that though. He's also warming up by doing double bass on a very high pace. It's just that part. Ending the gig with this song is truly a real workout.
I saw that on his insta as well. It would be better if he used a different technique such as more ankle, but that's not him. Mario's drumming is pure power. And that's what I like about him so much. He channels so much energy and emotion into his playing. Which gives Gojira a major part of their sound. A lot of metal drummers are cool and all with speed, but I'll take emotion and power 10/10 over just speed any day of the week. I want to feel the song.
Yeah, it _has_ to be some form of trance, of hyperfocus. It's similar to what marathonians or cyclists do, even though it's relatively shorter (but possibly just as intense, if not more). You get the first few minutes of pain, and then it's purely mental, you've got to stop thinking and let yourmind drift away, really, because else you're focused on the pain and then it becomes unbearable, and that's when you give up.
If you look closely in a lot of their live stuff you can see when Christian gets into a trance like state where he closes his eyes and just jams out. I love it so much
All that silence before the epic closing is also brought to you by Gojira. Ghost notes by Mario are sexy. Headbangs on point. The pit was ungodly. An absolute gem that I continually go back to over and over and over.
The thing I love so much about Gojira is, even if you try to focus on a part of their music, drums for example, you quickly get lost in the entire sound and ambience of the songs. That masterful technicality and composition is what makes them my absolute favorite metal band.
So, the reason why his drums are louder then his symbols. Is that his drums all have drum triggers, they send signal to the the controller that sends signal to the speakers. His symbols aren't triggered and are only microphoned. That means your getting an amplified version of his kit. You can see the triggers attached on the edge of his drums. They look like a small bracket that covers the rim and touches the skin of the drum.
Im sure you know their names by now... Love your reactions, keep up.. This was a great performance by Gojira... And again I strongly advise you to see Gojira - Pray at Red rocks live... Cheers...
The singer is Joseph 'Joe' Duplantier, Mario Duplantier is the drummer, Jean-Michel Labadie is the bassist and Christian Andreu is the other guitarist.

Vacuity is such an underrated song by Gojira, i really think that you should try it next :)
I personally absolutely fucking love it.
Man, check the video released yesterday: "Pray - Live at Red Rocks". Insaneee
Thats what I've been telling him .. Pray at Red rocks is something else... Amazing..
My son has seen them live about 5 times. Worth the price of admission to see them. Do it.
They had to end the song because if he went on for a few more seconds drumkit would catch on fire.

it’s time to listen In The Wilderness by Gojira, knowing your love for the drums this will crush you, another great outro
The singer is Joseph 'Joe' Duplantier, Mario Duplantier is the drummer, Jean-Michel Labadie is the bassist and Christian Andreu is the other guitarist.
I've seen this video a hundred times but I just noticed that camera man off to the side by Jean-Michel jammin away.
