Old school car! Old school guys! You have to respect what they've done. Great job!
Beautiful restoration! Thanks for saving a old car!
Cool car and a great friendship between those two. 👍
Damn that was awesome. Made my day! These guys are part of that generation after my Dad with flag starts & flathead Fords and it shows it is still going strong minus that flag starts & flatheads maybe😂. BTW my favorite generation Corvette 👍
Beautiful Corvette! Many thanks for that.
Now that’s what I love to hear. A clutch car. I feel like there’s not enough of them out there
So cool, another great video Joe! I got to see it up close. Gotta walk the pits!
Stick Shift really kicks! Great to see two older boys really enjoying themselves racing in NHRA Stock Eliminator!😊
Beautiful Piece
Super cool! Great guys.
So cool👍 Stockers are way too cool🏁
Excellent
🏁Great vid!!!!!!🏁
So cool!
Im so old I remember my local track had Stock Super Stock and Modified Producion every week. By the way I have a 55 Bel-Air with the original 265.
I am familiar with Carl Downard! Firebird raceway in Boise was a place he frequented.
A beautiful Corvette!!
But you should ask where the driver/owner are from!!!!
Was Ralph the Ralph van Paepeghem of B/SR
fame? Had a bad crash some years back.
He deserves some coverage!!
Only Bobby Fazio asks the really good questions.
Yes Ralph VanPaepeghem. I was with Ralph the day he crashed in Pocatello Idaho 1986
@@PatWolverton If you read this, you might have known of Mike Brown. Mike ran a C/Gas 62 Falcon powered by a
327 sbc, likely with a tunnel ram(unsure of that).
I went to high school with Mike's little brother, Bob! The 'Bobs' as we were known, went to many raced at Firebird together.
I recall seeing Carl Downard, Ralph(whose cousin, John was a year older at Bishop Kelly! I remember watching the Chevaker, witch you may also know.
We lost Mike to cancer a few years later. But one time Bob and I did take a ride in Mike's 57 Chevy he was sorting out. I believe we 'tested' the car on Kuna Mora road, out by the State Penitentiary!
Sorry to go on forever, but thought I might connect some dots, since I know of Ralph! Hope you are all well, and getting hole shots and win lights!
@@revvyhevvy Sorry I did not see this earlier. Mike Brown was a close friend of mine. We were both in the Boise Timing Association. I knew him when he and Dave Borchart were building the fiberglass transmission tunnel for the Falcon. I think it had a cross ram dual 4,s intake on it. Short on time right now but would love to talk more about Mike and some of the old days. Will try to send more at a later date.
Terrific old drag racer.
I had a 62 Corvette with a dual 4 barrel setup in 1970. I probably should have kept them both huh!
.....That's a Beautiful car.....
Wish i could afford that car
1 I/S 265cid vette > 100 boring super gas roadster things
it should be against the law to turn a corvette into a pooch like that
Not true. It is a perfect example of the love for cars.
Pooch???
It is stock!
It's an authentic masterpiece
This car was mistreated years ago. We brought it back to Stock condition. If anyone has the bucks to bring it back NCRS condition from Pooch condition just takes big bucks that you will never retrieve when sold.
love it
