I choose faith over fear! Both of my sons are autistic it’s overwhelming at times because they require so much from me. As a single mother things are difficult. I keep faith in God even as I struggle to support them. I keep faith as I struggle to pay rent, and as I struggle to buy groceries for my sons. Every month is a battle. I want to give up yet God gives me strength. Strength to go on. Strength to share my testimony. No matter our struggles God will never leave our side. Praise God and keep faith no matter what. I have faith God will make a way when there is no way.

Your comments made me cry as my son is autistic too. It's not always easy but God is faithful. He gets me through those tough days. I'm thankful we can draw strength from His beautiful Word and continue to do all we can for our precious children. I'll pray for you both. 💕 ✝️

One of my favorite translation examples came from musician John Hartford many years ago. I think he was in Asia and at an interview said, "I am tickled to death to be here playing for you folks." The translator took a while to figure that one out and it ended up translating into, "I am scratching myself to death for your amusement." 😂

Greetings from China! 🇨🇳 THANK YOU! This video was so helpful! Thanks for explaining how to use dictionaries, word studies and multiple translations, and WHEN to use them. I’m going through The Bible Recap and will be reading the Bible all the way through for the first time. I had to switch to NLT to get through Job, and I’m so glad I did. The alternative was to stop reading the Word, which is really not an option. Translations are tools! ⚒️ Amen!

I go to Walgreens and CVS whatever is cheaper at the time of purchase is what I tend to go to. 😂 What I find helpful is to write down the scripture to help me understand it better. Sometimes writing it out helps you slow down and read each word in your head at a slower pace to better understand its meaning. 😊I also have multiple translations so reading it more than once also helps. Thanks for sharing 😊❤❤❤

I can't stand either of them!! CVS is by far the worst, though. We went to fill a prescription (not a narcotic) and were literally interviewed by the Pharmacist!! She wanted our ID and a reason for the Rx. Then she called the doctor to see if it was a legitimate Rx. How insulting. Never went back, but did report her and filed a hardcopy complaint.
My elderly mother also has major problems with CVS -- taking days to fill a basic Rx. She won't transfer the Rx because it's too complicated for her to handle so she tolerates the poor service.
So, no....NEVER again with a CVS store.

We LITERALLY had a Walgreens pop up across the street from our local CVS. Tell Joe he is NOT alone LOL I don't have a preference tbh
As far as resources are concerned, one thing that people miss out on is using Bible maps. I have a separate little booklet that has a lot of maps in it, but many Bibles have them too. It can be helpful to figure out where a certain location is in relation to what you're reading. Like, for example Mt. Sinai and how far it was from Israel's next destination or even where the churches were that Paul was writing to.

Bible Hub is a great tool I learned from one of your earlier videos. The Thompson Chain Reference Bible and the Hebrew Greek Key Word version have been my go to for a deeper dive. I haven’t learned all it can even do, I’m sure. 💛 Now, as far as CVS or Walgreens~why Walgreens, of course! 😆 Where I grew up and where we live, Walgreens had the monopoly and CVS moved in over the last ten-ish years. Besides having a fantastic pharmacy, Walgreens here tend to have the better stores. It’s more of a one-stop shop if you have to go in. That said…I use the pharmacy at CVS because my drug plan pays better at CVS! 😂😂😂 Thanks for the video. Wow, that was packed with a wealth of tips. I'm not sure why I'm going into this but every year the LORD impresses me to look for a specific theme in the Bible. Prior year themes were: Night Sessions - Every place where the LORD woke someone up to speak with them... Obedience - Every place where after the LORD spoke there was unquestionable obedience, Miracles - Every place where a supernatural intervention occurred... Names of God - Every specific Name of God. I read the bible like normal but pay special attention to the theme for the year. Great video. Probably Walgreens - better online system to sign up for Covid boosters and Flu shots.

We don't have CVS here in Wesrwrn Washington state. Or at least VERY few. It's typically Walgreens and Rite Aid across the street from each other. And we choose Walgreens every time 😂

I worked for Walgreens a while back. It was the company's strategy at that time to have a store within a 5-minute drive
of each other, and I suppose CVS did the same.

Haha, I am with Joe on CVS vs Walgreens. We used to live in a town that had Walgreens but no CVS. My husband had been out of work, money was extremely tight, we had no insurance at the moment, and I had a bad cold/flu. I went to a walk-in clinic that charged a flat rate of $30, and the doctor prescribed a generic antibiotic. I took the script to Walgreens and they were going to charge me $80 for a GENERIC!! I took the script back, went to Walmart and got the medicine for $4. Walgreens lost my business forever and when we moved to a town that had CVS I would shop there, (but stayed with WM for scripts for years). Now we are on a Medicare Advantage plan and get up to $75 in select over-the-counter products free every quarter at CVS.

What do you think about the CSB? I was gifted a Tony Evans Study Bible. I really like it, but always want to be sure I have a good translation.
Oh, and I'm team Walgreens. But, just because it works best with my insurance. And you're right - they are the same. It's no different than a Burger King building across from a McDonald's or a BP gas station across from a Shell gas station.
Thanks for all your helpful tips and tricks. I watch/listen while I work.

This video was very helpful - thank you for sharing. PS I use a non-chain pharmacy for my prescriptions and love them. But often for over the counter items I will go to CVS

I was thinking... If everyone spoke biblical Hebrew and Greek, we wouldn't need any translations!... That would be wonderful! 🤗❤️👍🙌

I Love the Bible Recap podcast, The Bible Project on TH-cam for book summaries, and honestly so many of my daughter's children's Bible do a good job pointing to Christ throughout all the O.T. accounts and such.

First, I guess I’m team CVS.
I have a Logos program. I started with it years ago when it was Libronix and have stuck with it through the years, and have grown with it. It’s a little annoying to see how much free stuff is available, when I have paid for so much! I use the ESV and check the NLT if I am confused, the NASB or LSB for clarity, and I avoid The Message for any serious Bible reading. I also avoid the KJV because I never read it. My first Bible was an NIV and I go back to that translation a lot, too. Love my Tyndale dictionary, Bible Knowledge Comm, the NAC and NIV Application commentaries.

Lol! I was always a CVS goer (cause I grew up with Eckerd's) but here the CVS shut down & now I use Walgreens (that's across the street from the old CVS!). I actually now LOVE Walgreens!

Besides the resources you mentioned, I also use Logos. They have a free version which I used for many years but I did end up buying one of their paid versions a few years ago. I have a huge online library with it and I only paid the one time. You also get free books (monthly perhaps but I’m not sure exactly). However, I do love Bible Hub and it’s my go to for quick answers or clarification. And the word studies are super easy as you showed. Thank you Faith for your channel! There are so many people benefiting from your knowledge and I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work and time you put into sharing with us. ❤

I now have a Bible Dictionary on my list to look for at Half Price Books! I have 2 sitting in my Amazon Cart so I can compare prices if I come across those exact copies.

I don't use CVS or Walgreens! But that's because I live in the UK! Lol 😄 This video is so helpful, there were things you've talked about before that I completely forgot!! I also love using the YouVersion Bible app for diff translations too, it's so easy to use as it's on my phone (and it's free too)!! Love Bible Hub too, I have the app on my phone as well and love using it for the Strongs section specifically ( well most of the time anyway, I have used other parts of it too)!

Hey Faith, new subscriber here! I am in the limited budget gang, but am so inspired by your love of The Word and I want to learn what the Lord would have me learn in his Holy Bible. I am just getting back into reading my Bible after falling away.
I really want to find an interleaved Bible like yours, but in KJV and can’t seem to find a reasonable price (like under $80) for one. Any recommendations? I clicked on your link for your Bible and the price has also gone up unfortunately. I am open to other translations such as NKJV or ESV as well. All I can find are the one sided marginal versions for a budget price. But I would like to begin adding in my study ideas and notes in my Bible instead of all the journals I am currently using lol 😂
Sorry for such a long comment.
Love what you’re doing here. I feel God is calling me to find deeper meaning and have a deeper understanding of Him through my readings.
    Thank you 🙏🏽

Thanks for the info! I’m looking to dig deeper, but not sure if I should just pick a book of the Bible instead of following like a Youversion Bible plan. Makeup & nails look great, you’re so pretty 💕

For what it's worth, if anything, here's what I do (using only free resources)! 😊
    1. Start with a good modern English translation (e.g. ESV, CSB).
    2. Compare multiple modern English translations through free online resources like: Bible Hub, Parallel Plus, STEP Bible, Bible Gateway, BibleWebApp, TIPs Bible, etc. I try to pick at least 3 different translations: a formal equivalence translation (aka word-for-word aka literal) like the ESV, LEB, LSB, NASB; a mediating translation like the CSB and the NIV; and a functional equivalence translation (aka thought-for-thought aka dynamic) like the NLT.
    3. If you can read another language, compare with other modern language translations (e.g. French, Spanish, Chinese).
    4. Use the NET Bible's notes. Honestly I don't care much for the NET as a translation, but the notes are outstanding and really help you see how translators and other scholars think. It's the best window into the translation process that I know of without knowing the biblical languages.
    5. Download and use the free version of Logos Bible and use their free tools. For example, the Lexham Bible Dictionary and the Bible Word Study Guide are excellent. A benefit of using Logos is that it is available offline so you don't need an internet connection. (Same with some other Bible appls, though not all Bible apps. Like STEP Bible, which is also awesome but limited, and which was originally developed for pastors and other Christians in developing nations or places with unreliable internet connections due to infrastructure, authoritarian government censorship, or the like.)
    6. Read the article "How to Use Strong’s Concordance and What to Use Instead" by Mark Ward. This is a free article on Logos.com. It's helpful and will get you super far.
    7. Read commentaries and biblical theologies (this is the only section that's not free):
    a. Single volume (e.g. New Bible Commentary)
    b. Multiple volumes (e.g. Bible Speaks Today, Pillar NT Commentary, New International Commentary on the Old Testament, New International Commentary on the New Testament)
    c. Biblical theology:
    i. Some examples that are good for beginners: the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible; The God Who Is There by Don Carson; The Dawning of Redmeption by Ian Viallancourt; Short of Glory by Mitchell Chase; Hope for All the Earth by Mitchell Chase; God's Big Picture by Vaughn Roberts; The Unfolding Mystery by Ed Clowney; God Dwells Among Us by Greg Beale; What Is Biblical Theology? by Jim Hamilton; Exodus Old and New by Michael Morales; From Eden to the New Jerusalem by Desi Alexander; 40 Questions about Biblical Theology by Andy Naselli et al.
ii. Some examples that are good for intermediate levels: The King in His Beauty by Thomas Schreiner; According to Plan by Graeme Goldsworthy; God's Glory in Salvation According to Judgment by Jim Hamilton; The Mission of God by Chris Wright; Biblical Theology by Geerhardus Vos.
iii. Some examples that are good for advanced levels: Dominion and Dynasty by Stephen Dempster; Who Shall Ascend the Mountain of the Lord? by Michael Morales; The Temple and the Church's Mission by Greg Beale; New Testament Biblical Theology by Greg Beale; New Testament Theology by Tom Schreiner; Old Testament Theology by Bruce Waltke; New Dictionary of Biblical Theology by Brian Rosner et al (eds.).

Hey Faith! I was wondering if you could do a video on different transportation. Why they are and what is the best ones. I got very in my feels, 😂 About my new Bible not translating the Lord’s Prayer correctly, or the way I was taught it, from KJV. And now I have a NAS and I got embarrassed and emotional about it. I was in the middle of my Sunday school class and I was so upset. I don’t know why, but I feel there is only 1 translation of the Lords prayers and seeing it that way, and words missing really hurt my heart. I understand there is different ways of saying it, and I don’t want to be close minded. So I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
So the CVS Walgreens topic 😆 I was told the man and woman that own Walgreens got divorced. And the woman went in and put a cvs beside every Walgreens in the US because the husband didn’t want the wife in on his business anymore. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
