@@sabraamin6412 ohh come on, stop with this low level mentality, her criticism is reasonable. Just today, there was a Canadian woman who complained against some locals and IG Islamabad and minister for interior had to take notice of that. You need to show Pakistan for what it really is and thats what she is saying. It's easy to portray that you will get everything for free like Drew Brinsky did, but that is not going to be the case for every single tourist. Expectations need to be grounded and realistic, before we get influx of ignorant tourist who expect alot and when their expectations are not met they complain and spread hatred against Pakistan. So avoid that things need to be transparent. Though I don't agree with all her points but still I understand her criticism which is quite reasonable.

To all the people who think she was right by saying all this.
She was not invited there to tell us the negative about the country we already know about it, Pakistan doesn't has a very good reputation in the world, but it was definitely becoming better but now due to this Pakistan was recently listed among the most danger countries.
How do you think Pakistanis are treated in the US ? Do you think they are welcomed there with open arms ? They are not given visas due to there colour & there nationality.
The Pakistan Tourism Summit was organised to show the positive image of Pakistan because the negative image is already out there..
For example, if a product is advertised, only the positive side of the product is shown, Apple doesn't tells you the disadvantages of buying there product since they want you to buy it..
Similarly, Pakistanis also want people to come here they don't want to scare them

It'd be extremely easy to follow the same trend that's popular among locals and say all nice stuff local love to hear but she took a road less traveled and spotted some flaws about our treatment with one group of people to other. Listen to her without prejudice, and you can hear her honesty. What's wrong with hearing out creative criticism? It may make our travel policies/tourism industry more appealing and true which in turn keep things real for all would be travelers.

@Ole Brumm this is not logical, I have never seen such rehearsal right at the platform of any summit. Rehearsal always prepared behind the real platform of summit. this rehearsal logic is childish & anyone can laugh on it. Yeah I can agree if you say she presented when there were few people left in audience OR she presented at last OR she was permitted by authority when there were few people left.

    • @shahbazbaig1101
      @shahbazbaig1101 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@Ole Brumm do you really think that pre screening took place right at the platform of summit? This is what I am trying to covey that rehearsal or whatever you call it like pre screen is always prepared behind the main platform of summit. Let me elaborate you a bit, If you are an applicant of summit in order to present your presentation so you have to discuss your motive, purpose with the authority, if authority approves you then you will be a participant among other presentators, so she got the approval by the authority first that's why she got a chance to present her thoughts. Why did authority approve her at first place if there were any objection regarding her presentation?
Her presentation was telecasted on Air too, So I can only suggest that stop fooling your self & think rationally.

She is right! I was talking to someone who is a american ( pakistani american) and the person was telling me that when he went to Pakistan because he was American ( even though pakistani descent) both his parents are from Pakistan and he is brown skin. The locals were very cold to him because they felt he lost touch of his roots. Though it was just more their wrong perception and not truth. He didn't have a good experience there because the locals were cold to him and that made him feel more sad being that his mom and dad are from Pakistan. So she is right. Eva zu beck , collegefree, drew binsky etc are treated differently but why is it because they are a white foreigner. So she makes alot of true points. She is helping others and wants to make equal change. So everyone shares same experience and not be dissappointed by others experiences( like eva, or drew) that might not happen for them. She is being honest about what to expect and what the place still needs help in , like infrastructure etc to help a traveler thinking of going there. I respect her honesty alot. She been to Pakistan 5 times and said it was the most hospitable place she has been too, but she doesn't want to create a expectation some other travelor might not experience. She seems to be the greatest influencer for true change because no sugar coating and a true activist for change . She speaks so elequently and can see she is very knowledgable and intelligent

True story. Security agencies should have clear directions/training as they are often clueless when it comes to dealing with tourists, especially foreign tourists. Govt. should be able to determine by now whether the country (or certain areas) should be open to tourism. If yes, then let the ppl explore as they wish, whether all of the country or certain regions. Be specific. Let clarity prevail.

Had to deal with a war-mongering neighbor who is 7 times populated more than us which resulted in our separation from East Pakistan. @@happysoul5031 Sorry, but you don't seem to know about the political scene in Pakistan. To an outside tard like you, everything is black or white. The only capable institution in Pakistan's history is/was our military, we had to face incompetent political leaders for quite some time. Fighting wars have everything to do with political leader, when those fks make decisions because they are on the payroll of foreign governments. Military has strict internal scrutiny which is not applicable in-case of politicians because the whole civilian judicial system doesn't have a spine. Just see an example now a days. A convicted criminal Nawaz Sharif is out in his house on the grounds of "health issue". A common man if he was in his shoes would have been rotting in jail. We had a Bhutto who didn't wanted to give up power and we had to lose Bangladesh because of it. I am not a supporter of military rule in Pakistan, but the priority should always be competence and honesty whether it be military or no military, I don't give a damn. China is doing pretty fine being a totalitarian state, is ranked 2nd lowest in press freedom. Sure its not a military rule but it also isn't a democracy. So to some it up, Pakistan couldn't produce competence in it's leadership therefore military had to step, because its the only competent institution in Pakistan. Either she is confused or deliberately misrepresenting Pakistan. Colonial mindset is rubbish. She looks like local so maybe ppl didn’t realise she is a foreigner at first but after introduction they would be more welcoming.

Because she looks like local, she got to experience truly genuine, honest attitudes from locals not those fake snakes, etc as some other TH-camrs, who been planted and guarded by gov/military. So she has seen real side!

As a Pakistani living in Switzerland, she said the words of every Pakistani abroad. Our people are so ignorant and arrogant and racist, they’re showing royalty to only white color. I’m pashtoon and I have white mild color and nobody takes me for a Pakistani here cox they think we all look like indians or punjabis and it doesn’t make me happy to see we rate people on the basis of their color. And our country is not clean, people throw garbage everywhere and biggest problem is that most Pakistanis stare the soul out of you once they recognize you came from abroad. And our people start taking selfies with everyone, for fuck sake let these people travel in peace and don’t be ‘nadeeda’

I kind of agree with her. We aren't just tolerant to other beliefs, opinions etc. I as an overseas Pakistani found it harder to travel in Karachi and Lahore than other places like Malaysia, Europe etc. We just like to hear ourselves being praised. However, I did see a video of her actually presenting to the pm, so that is something which I found confusing.

It can be clearly seen how she was tactfully cornered, by giving her last few minutes, while most people were gone, some busy talking in huddles and remaining were disinterested, just because she was critical about Pak. Exactly what she claimed in her video. Waow...What a move Pak officials 👏👏👏 Applause. Wish that culprit mind would be use for people's good someday.

Yes, it's surely more reasonable for few dollars do sugar coated misleading videos like some other TH-camrs, who got all sponsorship goodies for painting all with same brush
Man, develop some common sense and critical thinking skills and then come back to talk. Well I feel, it will take you looooong time. 😂

I think she is Absolutely right.
We need to stop treating the White people as though they are superior. Every man is equal, even Quran states that. We need to treat every tourist the same, be it a local tourist are a foreign tourist, black tourist orna white tourist, male tourist or a female tourist.
