Key West Kayak Fishing thanks Steve! Yeah I'm really excited to be using it more. I'll be back down in two weeks and I'll be making another video on the skiff. Got some additions I want to make to it so I may do some videos on rigging it and such. Thanks for watching man, I really appreciate it
I enjoyed watching your videos . I live around the area and you make it look easy and fun . Any particular size hooks or bait set up to catch snook and reds ? Thanks
I typically use 1/8oz to1/4 oz jig heads - any color works but i always gravitate towards white or red Bait set up is always a DOA Paddle-tail in the Arkansas glow, glow in the dark, or gold and black colors. Can always throw in some chartreuse and white when you get close to the beaches and in some of the clearer water. I apologize for the extremely late response - just getting back in to TH-cam! Hope this helps, tight lines!
Man I just moved here and Ive done very well in march and April but man I've had a tough month lately you make it look easy maybe someday ill get to fish with you I live in that area and fishing is my life I moved down here to become a guide since I'm young I figured it would be a good start to move now and get a jump on things
Tyler Shaffer so these months are kinda tricky considering the fish are mostly eating live bait or cut bait. If you're fishin artificial, head out to the West Wall and just roam the entire wall, you'll find em under the mangroves. If you're fishing cut bait or live bait, head down to Turtle Bay, Bull Bay, or Pine Island and fish any points with moving water, give it a bit of time and you'll find em!
One more thing I’m Mainly a bass fisherman but I’m starting to get into saltwater like the fishing you do. So what would be a good rod and reel combo to start off saltwater.
Christopher Candales I’d say to start with a 3000 size shimano Sahara reel (or any other reel you’d like of course) paired with a star rod (I like the stellar lite) Spool the reel with 10lb test braid, and grab yourself some 20lb test leader for reds, and 30lb for snook. You’ll be set for anything on the flats with that setup
Not Sure Off-Roading gotta keep sticking it out! You’ll find em eventually, just have to keep looking and trying different techniques until you find em. If you need any tips let me know!
I'm visiting my dad here in florida im in tampa and I was at punta gorda but all I caught was a small puffer fish could we possibly meet up someday and go fishing together? I would really really appreciate it it would mean so much I'm here in tampa till december 9th
Sorry I’m getting to you now Ethan! Unfortunately no fishing during the week anymore for me, however, I would try some shrimp if you are fishing off of the piers or near the parks, they’ll always get you something!
Cool Skiff
@@CharlotteHarborFisherman thanks man! Homemade, love it
