Scott: "She looks very stressed, doesn't she?"
Katherine: "Yeah, so stressed."
Honey: 😴😴😴
The possum video was so hartwarming.
Love Dr Riaz. His gentleness, soothing voice, and determination to help Kylie on his first day should be applauded.
No matter how much vets are interested in the medicine and science, at their core love doing the nurse jobs if if means cuddles with puppies or kittens. I can bet that vets' favourite day is puppy and kitten vaccination day!
I’m loving the banter haha. Nothing says friendly work environment like a little good natured ribbing
Has it ever occurred to anyone they did not REFUSE to pay, but just could not afford to pay? I had a dog that had to have about 500 dollars of meds monthly and normal people cannot pay that much every single month. I did not abandon my girl,I saved her life by giving her to someone that had the ability and wanted to care for her. It is disgusting that so many of you are judging without knowing what was happening with that family's financial situation.
Such a great job! Honey’s eyes look perfect now!
I love vet programmes. Chris Brown is a great vet.
Honey is absolutely adorable omg🥺
I can imagine Ben the sheep must have felt so much better after he was sheered. Especially in the Australian heat
Seeing everybody struggle with Ben on the lead rope brought back memories of my time dealing with goats. They're a lot stronger than they look, and contrary as a cat! "Halter-broken" is a relative term... XD
46:14 That tail wiggle... what a sweet soul she is. She knows they are helping.
Happy Easter Doctor Chris and Famillys
Scott Muller is also a great vet aswell.
Happy Esster Patricia the Possum
Very relaxing video. Music and soft voice
8:08 18 kilograms is almost 40 pounds!
Yay! Puppies!
Awesome Rescues.
My dream is to make international standard animal rescue center in Pakistan
Poor little possum.
i halfheartedly expected the doc to say anything could be found in there bactieria fly's and your mums wedding ring :P hahahaha
If people abandon their pets, how do they treat their children??? There are sick people out there who don’t deserve pets!
have a Baaing bleeting good Easter Ben Hall the Sheep
21:22 though! 🥹
Did Sadie's family refuse to pay or were they unable to pay?
There is a diference...
Opossum
That was a lot of cuts Ben got. I that normal?
Honestly, it depends on how much Ben was fighting them beyond what we were shown. Typically, shearers do their best not to nick the animal, but considering Ben has been essentially wild for about 5 years and is unaltered, they probably wanted to get as much off as quickly as possible before he really started fighting them.
The good news is that nicks like that are pretty easy to heal as long as someone is monitoring it, so i think Bens in good hands
I don't understand why they didn't sedate Ben, not completely but to help him relax some. I really can't get that.
Some animals don't do well under anesthetic. They probably didn't want to risk it. That's why Chris was monitoring his heart rate throughout the process.
Sedation can be very risky on some animals. Esp with his elevated heart rate. He'll be ok. ❤
I wouldn't want to sedate a prey animal who spent that much time outside of human care unless it was absolutely necessary. No telling what might be going on.
My previous vet didn't sedate my rabbit for exams even though he was taught to in school. He didn't find it necessary and didn't like the extra risk for no benefit; I agree with him. The vet who took over his practice when he retires specializes in rabbits and she doesn't routinely sedate either. I'm very glad of it, prey animals are delicate and fewer interventions mean fewer chances for complications.
Shearing a sheep usually takes less than 4 minutes.
I'm assuming in this instance they didn't know if Ben had any underlying health conditions that could've been dangerous under anesthetic. But he took it like a champ, I want to believe he noticed the uncomfortable weight was gone and that helped him relax a little.
Dumping your dog when she is pregnant wow 😢
I don't understand why the shearer wasn't more cautious to not tear off chunks of the sheep's skin!! 😢
Like they said in the video because of the weight of the wool it was pulling the skin making it impossible for their not to be a few nicks
More caution equals less speed. It's a balance between having Ben restrained/contained for a shorter period of time and minimizing stress vs going even more slowly and carefully. A normal sheep getting shorn will end up with a few nicks and cuts and not notice them the next day. That's not to say it's right that the sheep get cut, but it is what it is in the process of wool production.
It's a risk dog groomers take, too, with a matted dog that has not been regularly groomed. it can be practically impossible to differentiate between skin and fur/wool. But with a dog they can usually - but not always- go more slowly and take more time to ensure it doesn't happen.
Sadistic is the only comment one can make to this situation 🤮😱🤬😨🙏🙈
Poor Sadie. What selfish humans to dumb their dog because they couldn't/wouldn't pay the bill. It's very simple: if you can't afford the vet, don't get the pet!
Don’t know the proper name but it looks like mange to me. 😮
